Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 8859
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw an elderly man walking, supported by his two sons between them, and asked, "What is the matter with this elderly man? (Why doesn't he ride?)" His sons replied, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we have vowed (and are not letting him ride to fulfill it)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "O elderly man! Ride, Allah is free of need from you and your vow (He will accept it)."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک عمر رسیدہ آدمی کو اپنے دو بیٹوں کے درمیان ان کا سہارا لے کر چلتے ہوئے دیکھا تو پوچھا کہ ان بزرگ کا کیا معاملہ ہے؟ (یہ سوار کیوں نہیں ہوجاتے؟) اس کے بیٹوں نے بتایا کہ یا رسول للہ ﷺ انہوں نے منت مان رکھی تھی (اسے پورا کرنے کے لئے سوار نہیں ہو رہے) نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا بزرگو! سوار ہوجاؤ اللہ آپ اور آپ کی منت سے بڑا غنی ہے (وہ قبول کرلے گا)
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek umar raseedah aadmi ko apne do beton ke darmiyan un ka sahaara le kar chalte hue dekha to poocha ke in buzurg ka kya mamla hai? (Yeh sawaar kyun nahi hojate?) Iss ke beton ne bataya ke Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) inhon ne mannat maan rakhi thi (Ise poora karne ke liye sawaar nahi ho rahe) Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya buzurgo! Sawar hojao Allah aap aur aap ki mannat se bada ghani hai (Woh qabool kar lega).
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ ، أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَدْرَكَ شَيْخًا يَمْشِي بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ، مُتَوَكِّئًا عَلَيْهِمَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا شَأْنُ هَذَا الشَّيْخِ؟" قَالَ ابْنَاهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كَانَ عَلَيْهِ نَذْرٌ، فَقَالَ لَهُ:" ارْكَبْ أَيُّهَا الشَّيْخُ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكَ وَعَنْ نَذْرِكَ" .
