Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9440
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If knowledge were to be found on the star Sirius, even then, some of the Persians would acquire it."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر علم ثریا ستارے پر بھی ہوا تو ابناء فارس کے کچھ لوگ اسے وہاں سے بھی حاصل کرلیں گے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya agar ilm suraiyya sitaare par bhi hua to abna Faris ke kuch log use wahan se bhi hasil kar lenge.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ كَانَ الْعِلْمُ بِالثُّرَيَّا لَتَنَاوَلَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أبنَاءِ فَارِسَ" .
