Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9448
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is not lawful for a woman to travel for even a day without a mahram from among her family.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کسی عورت کے لئے حلال نہیں ہے کہ اپنے اہل خانہ میں سے کسی محرم کے بغیر ایک دن کا بھی سفر کرے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah tala anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya kisi aurat ke liye halal nahi hai ke apne ahl khana mein se kisi mahram ke baghair ek din ka bhi safar kare.
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ أَنْ تُسَافِرَ يَوْمًا فَمَا فَوْقَهُ إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا ذُو حُرْمَةٍ
