Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9581
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, while offering prayer, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard a child crying. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) shortened his prayer (so that the child's mother would not be distressed).

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے دوران نماز کسی بچے کے رونے کی آواز سنی تو اپنی نماز ہلکی فرما دی (تاکہ اس کی ماں پریشان نہ ہو)
Hazrat Abu Huraira Razi Allah Anhu se marvi hai ke ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne doran namaz kisi bache ke rone ki aawaz suni to apni namaz halki farma di (taake uski maa pareshan na ho).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ :" سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، صَوْتَ صَبِيٍّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَخَفَّفَ الصَّلَاةَ" .
