Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9778
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "So-and-so prays at night and steals during the day." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "Soon his prayer and recitation will prevent him from doing this."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے منقول ہے کہ ایک آدمی نبی کریم ﷺ کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوا اور کہنے لگا کہ فلاں آدمی رات کو نماز پڑھتا ہے اور دن کو چوری کرتا ہے نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا عنقریب اس کی نماز و تلاوت اسے اس کام سے روک دے گی۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se manqool hai ki aik aadmi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki bargah mein hazir hua aur kehne laga ki falan aadmi raat ko namaz parhta hai aur din ko chori karta hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya anqareeb uski namaz o tilawat use is kaam se rok degi.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ فُلَانًا يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ، فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ سَرَقَ. قَالَ:" إِنَّهُ سَيَنْهَاهُ مَا يَقُولُ" .
