Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 9998
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “Fasting is a shield. When one of you is fasting, he should not behave foolishly or ignorantly. If anyone should fight or verbally abuse him, he should say, ‘I am fasting.’”

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا روزہ ڈھال ہے جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص روزہ دار ہونے کی حالت میں صبح کرے تو اسے بیہودگی یا جہالت کی بات نہیں کرنی چاہئے بلکہ اگر کوئی آدمی اس سے لڑنا یا گالی گلوچ کرنا چاہئے تو اسے یوں کہہ دینا چاہئے کہ میں روزہ سے ہوں۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya roza dhaal hai jab tum mein se koi shakhs rozadar hone ki halat mein subah kare to use behudagi ya jahalat ki baat nahin karni chahie balkeh agar koi aadmi us se ladna ya gaali galauch karna chahie to use yun keh dena chahie ki mein roza se hun.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، قََالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الصِّيَامَ جُنَّةٌ، فَإِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَائِمًا، فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ، فَإِنْ امْرُؤٌ شَاتَمَهُ أَوْ قَاتَلَهُ، فَلْيَقُلْ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ" .
