Chapter on Prohibition of Performing Istinja with the Right Hand
باب النهي عن الاستنجاء باليمين
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 544
Qatadah (RA) narrated from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When one of you relieves himself, he should not clean himself with his right hand, nor should he touch his private parts with his right hand."

(٥٤٤) سیدنا قتادۃ (رض) اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) فرمایا : ” جب تم سے کوئی بیت الخلاء میں آئے تو وہ اپنے دائیں ہاتھ سے استنجا نہ کرے اور نہ ہی دائیں ہاتھ سے شرمگاہ کو چھوئے۔ “
(544) Syedna Qatadah (RA) apne walid se naql farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) farmaya : " Jab tum se koi bait ul khala mein aaye to wo apne daayen hath se istinja na kare aur na hi daayen hath se sharamgah ko chhuye. "
Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the polytheists said to him, "We see your companion (the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)) teaching you even how to sit for relieving yourselves!" He said, "Yes, indeed. You have forbidden us to clean ourselves with our right hand or face the Qibla, and you have forbidden us to use dung or bones, while he (the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)) has said, 'None of you should clean himself with less than three stones."

(٥٤٥) سیدنا سلمان سے روایت ہے کہ ان کو مشرکوں نے کہا : بلاشبہ ہم تمہارے ساتھی (نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ) کو دیکھتے ہیں کہ وہ تمہیں قضائے حاجت کے لیے بیٹھنے کا طریقہ بھی سکھاتا ہے ! ! ” انھوں نے کہا : جی ہاں، یقیناً آپ نے ہم کو منع کیا ہے کہ ہم میں سے کوئی اپنے دائیں ہاتھ سے استنجا کرے اور قبلہ کی طرف منہ کرے اور ہم کو گوبر اور ہڈیوں سے منع کیا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تم سے کوئی تین پتھروں سے کم میں بھی استنجاء نہ کرے۔ “
سیدنا سلمان se riwayat hai keh un ko mushrikon ne kaha: bilashuba hum tumhare sathi (nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))) ko dekhte hain keh woh tumhen qaza e hajat ke liye bethne ka tareeqa bhi sikhata hai!! Unhon ne kaha: ji haan, yaqinan aap ne hum ko mana kiya hai keh hum mein se koi apne dayen hath se istinja kare aur qibla ki taraf munh kare aur hum ko gobar aur haddiyon se mana kiya aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: tum se koi teen pathron se kam mein bhi istinja na kare.
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): I am to you like a father who teaches his son. When anyone of you goes to answer the call of nature, he should neither face nor turn his back towards the Qibla. And do not perform Istinja (cleaning) with your right hand. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered us to use three stones and forbade us to use dung and bones.

(٥٤٦) سیدنا ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ میں تمہارے لیے باپ کی مثل ہوں میں تم کو سکھلاتا ہوں جب کوئی بیت الخلا جائے، وہ قبلے کی طرف نہ منہ کرے اور نہ ہی پیٹھ اور نہ دائیں ہاتھ سے استنجا کرے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہم کو تین پتھروں کا حکم دیا کرتے تھے اور گوبر اور بوسیدہ ہڈی سے منع کرتے تھے۔
(546) Syedna Abu Huraira (RA) se riwayat hai keh mein tumhare liye baap ki misal hun mein tum ko sikhlata hun jab koi bait ul khala jaye, woh qibla ki taraf na munh kare aur na hi peeth aur na dayen hath se istinja kare. Aap (SAW) hum ko teen pathron ka hukum diya karte thay aur gobar aur boseeda haddi se mana karte thay.
Sayyida Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to keep his right hand for eating, drinking, and clothing, and his left hand for other than that.

(٥٤٧) سیدہ حفصہ (رض) بیان فرماتی ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنا دایاں ہاتھ کھانے اور پینے اور کپڑوں کے لیے رکھا کرتے تھے اور اپنے بائیں ہاتھ کو اس کے علاوہ کاموں کے لیے۔
Sayyidah Hafsah (Razi Allahu Anha) bayan farmati hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) apna dayan hath khanay aur penay aur kapron ke liye rakha karte thay aur apne bayen hath ko iske alawah kamon ke liye.
Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used his right hand for eating, drinking, and wearing his shoes, and his left hand for the toilet and anything repugnant.

(٨٤٥) حضرت عائشہ فرماتی ہیں : رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنا دایاں ہاتھ کھانے اور پینے کے لیے اور بایاں ہاتھ بیت الخلاء اور دوسری گندگیوں کے لیے ۔
(845) Hazrat Aisha farmati hain : Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) apna dayan hath khanay aur penay ke liye aur baayan hath bait ul khala aur dusri gandeeoon ke liye .
