Chapter on the Impurity of What is Touched by a Dog with Wetness on Any Part of its Body
باب نجاسة ما ماسه الكلب بسائر بدنه إذا كان أحدهما رطبا

Narrated by Sayyidina Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "One morning I found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a sad mood. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah! I found you in a different mood today.’ He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me tonight, and by Allah, he never breaks his promise.’ This was the reason why the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sad. Then (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), you remembered a puppy that was under our tent. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered that it be removed. Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took some water in your hand and sprinkled it over that place. In the morning, Gabriel met you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘You promised me that you would meet me last night.’ He said, ‘Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.’" That day, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the killing of dogs, until he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) even ordered the killing of the dog that was in the small garden, but left the dog that was in the large garden.

(١١٥٠) سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھ کو میمونہ (رض) نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک دن غم گین حالت میں صبح کی۔ میمونہ نے عرض کیا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! میں نے آج آپ کو جنبی حالت میں پایا ہے ؟ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جبرائیل نے مجھ سے وعدہ کیا تھا کہ آج رات آپ کو ملوں گا، اللہ کی قسم ! وہ وعدہ خلافی نہیں کرتے۔ اسی وجہ سے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) غم گین تھے، پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دل میں کتے کے بچے کا خیال آیاجو ہمارے خیمہ کے نیچے تھا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حکم دیا تو اس کو نکالا گیا، پھر اپنے ہاتھ میں پانی لیا اور اس جگہ پر چھینٹے مارے۔ صبح کو جبرائیل آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو ملے۔ آپ نے فرمایا : آپ نے میرے ساتھ وعدہ کیا تھا کہ کل آپ مجھے ملو گے ! انھوں نے کہا : جی ہاں ! لیکن ہم اس گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جس میں کتا یا تصویر ہو۔ اس دن رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صبح ہی کتوں کو مارنے کا حکم دے دیا، حتی کہ آپ نے چھوٹے باغ کے کتے کو بھی مارنے کا حکم دیا اور بڑے باغ کے کتے کو چھوڑیا۔
(1150) Syedna Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) farmate hain ke mujh ko Maymoona (RA) ne bayan kiya ke Rasul Allah (SAW) ne ek din ghamgeen halat mein subah ki. Maymoona ne arz kiya : Aye Allah ke Rasul! Maine aaj aap ko junubi halat mein paya hai? Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : Jibraeel ne mujh se wada kiya tha ke aaj raat aap ko milun ga, Allah ki qasam! Woh wada khilafi nahi karte. Isi wajah se Rasul Allah (SAW) ghamgeen thay, phir aap (SAW) ke dil mein kutte ke bachay ka khayal aaya jo humare khaima ke neechay tha. Aap (SAW) ne hukm diya to us ko nikala gaya, phir apne hath mein pani liya aur us jagah par chheente maare. Subah ko Jibraeel aap (SAW) ko milay. Aap ne farmaya : Aap ne mere sath wada kiya tha ke kal aap mujhe milon ge! Unhon ne kaha : Ji haan! Lekin hum us ghar mein dakhil nahi hote jis mein kutta ya tasveer ho. Us din Rasul Allah (SAW) ne subah hi kutton ko marne ka hukm de diya, hatta ke aap ne chhotay bagh ke kutte ko bhi marne ka hukm diya aur bare bagh ke kutte ko chhora.
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), from Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was grieved… then he took water and sprinkled it on that place.

(١١٥١) سیدنا ابن عباس (رض) ، حضرت میمونہ (رض) زوجہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک دن غم گین تھے، ۔۔۔ اس میں ہے کہ پھر آپ نے پانی لیا اور اس جگہ پر چھینٹے مارے۔
(1151) Syedna Ibn Abbas (RA), Hazrat Maimuna (RA) زوجہ Rasulullah (SAW) se naql farmate hain ke Rasulullah (SAW) aik din ghamgeen thay,... Is mein hai ke phir aap ne pani liya aur is jaga par chheente maare.
Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Gabriel made an appointment to meet me." She said: "There was a puppy in the house." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered that it be taken out, then he sprinkled the place with water.

(١١٥٢) سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) کو میمونہ (رض) نے خبر دی کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جبرائیل نے میرے ساتھ ملنے کا وعدہ کیا تھا، فرماتی ہیں : گھر میں کتے کا بچہ تھا۔ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کو نکال دیا، پھر اس جگہ پر پانی کے چھینٹے مارے۔
1152 Saidna Abdullah bin Abbas ko Maimoona ne khabar di ke aap ne farmaya: Jibraeel ne mere sath milne ka wada kiya tha, farmati hain: ghar mein kutte ka bachcha tha. Rasulullah ne usko nikal diya, phir us jagah par pani ke chheente maare.
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (RA): During the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ), I used to stay overnight in the mosque, and I was a young unmarried boy. The dogs used to urinate, and pass (their excrement), in the mosque, but the people would not sprinkle water on those places.

(١١٥٣) سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے زمانہ میں رات مسجد میں رہتا تھا اور میں کنوارا نوجوان تھا، اس زمانے میں کتے پیشاب کرتے تھے اور مسجد میں آتے جاتے تھے لیکن لوگ اس جگہ پر چھینٹے نہیں مارتے تھے۔
