Jabir bin Samurah narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went to the rows (of prayer) and said: "Do you not straighten your rows as the angels straighten their rows before their Lord?" The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "O Messenger of Allah, how do the angels straighten their rows before their Lord?" He (peace be upon him) said: "They complete the first rows first and they join the rows together."

(٥١٨٩) جابر بن سمرہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) صفوں کی طرف گئے اور فرمایا : کیا تم ویسے صفیں نہیں بناتے جیسے فرشتے اپنے رب کے ہاں بناتے ہیں۔ صحابہ (رض) نے پوچھا : فرشتے اللہ کے پاس کیسے صفیں بناتے ہیں ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : وہ پہلے اگلی صفوں کو پورا کرتے ہیں اور صفوں کو ملاتے ہیں۔
5189 Jaber bin Samra farmate hain ki Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) saffon ki taraf gaye aur farmaya: kya tum waise safin nahin banate jaise farishtey apne Rab ke han banate hain. Sahaba (RA) ne poocha: farishtey Allah ke pass kaise safin banate hain? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: woh pehle agli saffon ko poora karte hain aur saffon ko milate hain.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Straighten your rows in the first row, then the second, filling in the gaps." He (peace and blessings be upon him) also said, "The best rows for men are the first, and the best rows for women are the last."

(٥١٩٠) انس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تم پہلے اگلی صف کو مکمل کرو، پھر دوسری صف میں اگر کمی ہو تو اس کو پورا کرتے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : مردوں کی بہترین صف پہلی ہے اور عورتوں کی بہترین صف آخری ہے۔
(5190) Anas (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : tum pehle agli saf ko mukammal karo, phir dusri saf mein agar kami ho to us ko poora karte aur aap (SAW) ne farmaya : mardon ki behtarin saf pehli hai aur aurton ki behtarin saf aakhri hai.
'Abdul Wahhab bin 'Ata said that Sa'id bin Abi 'Arubah was asked about the virtue of the first row, so he narrated from Qatadah and Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Complete the first row, then what remains of it, and what is lacking from it, then in the last row."

(٥١٩١) عبد الوہاب بن عطاء فرماتے ہیں کہ سعید بن ابی عروبہ سے پہلی صف کی فضیلت کے بارے میں سوال کیا گیا تو انھوں نے قتادہ اور انس بن مالک سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تم پہلی صف کو پورا کرو، پھر جو اس کے ساتھ بچ جائے اور جو کمی ہو وہ آخری صف میں۔
(5191) Abdul Wahab bin Ata farmate hain keh Saeed bin Abi Urooba se pehli saf ki fazilat ke bare mein sawal kiya gaya to unhon ne Qatada aur Anas bin Malik se naqal farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Tum pehli saf ko pora karo, phir jo uske sath bach jaye aur jo kami ho wo aakhri saf mein.
