Amr bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting { وَاللَّیْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ } [Surah Al-Lail] in the Fajr prayer.

(٣٠٦٧) عمرو بن حریث (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو فجر کی نماز میں { وَاللَّیْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ } [اللیل ] کی قراءت کرتے سنا۔
Amr bin Haris (RA) se riwayat hai ki maine Rasulullah (SAW) ko fajr ki namaz mein { wal laili iza as asa } [al lail] ki qirat karte suna.
It is narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) neither recited the Quran over the Jinn nor did he see them. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was going towards the market of Ukaz with a group of his companions. In those days, the devils were prevented from listening to the news of the heavens and they were pelted with shooting stars. When the devils returned to their people, they asked: "What is the news?" They said: "We have been prevented from hearing the news of the heavens and we are being pelted with shooting stars." They said: "There must be something new happening that you are being prevented from hearing the news of the heavens. Go and search throughout the east and west of the earth and see what new thing has happened that has caused you to be prevented from hearing the news of the heavens." Hearing this, they spread out in all directions. Among them were the Jinn who had gone towards Tihama. They reached the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was in the valley of "Nakhl" and was about to go to the market of Ukaz. He was leading his companions in the Fajr prayer. When the Jinn heard the Quran, they listened attentively and said: "By Allah! This is the thing that has come between us and the news of the heavens." When they returned to their people, they said: {Indeed, we have heard a [wonderful] recitation [the Quran]. It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate anyone with our Lord.} (Al-Jinn 72:1-2) Then Allah, the Exalted, revealed Surah Al-Jinn to His Prophet and the words "It has been revealed to me" are the words of the Jinn.

(٣٠٦٨) ابن عباس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے جنوں پر نہ قرآن پڑھا اور نہ ہی آپ نے انھیں دیکھا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنے صحابہ کی جماعت کے ساتھ بازارِ عکاظ کی طرف جا رہے تھے۔ ان دنوں شیطانوں کو آسمانوں کی خبریں لینے سے روک دیا گیا تھا اور ان پر انگاروں کی مار ہونے لگی تھی۔ شیاطین اپنی قوم کی طرف لوٹ کر آئے تو انھوں نے پوچھا : کیا خبر ہے ؟ وہ کہنے لگے : آسمانوں کی خبریں ہم سے روک دی گئی ہیں اور ہم پر انگارے برسائے گئے۔ وہ کہنے لگے : یہ جو آسمانوں کی خبریں تم سے روک دی گئی ہیں اس کی وجہ کوئی نئی بات معلوم ہوتی ہے، ذرا زمین کے مشرق ومغرب میں گھوم پھر کر دیکھو کہ کون سی نئی بات ہوئی ؟ جس کی وجہ سے آسمان کی خبریں تم سے روک دی گئیں۔ یہ سن کر وہ چاروں طرف پھیل گئے۔ ان میں سے جو جنات تہامہ کی طرف نکلے تھے۔ وہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آپہنچے۔ اس وقت آپ وادی ” نخلہ “ میں تھے اور عکاظ کی منڈی کو جانے کا ارادہ تھا ۔ آپ صحابہ کو فجر کی نماز پڑھا رہے تھے۔ جب ان جنوں نے قرآن سنا تو کان لگا لیے اور کہنے لگے : اللہ کی قسم ! یہی وہ چیز ہے جو ہمارے اور آسمان کی خبروں کے درمیان حائل ہوگئی ہے۔ جب وہ اپنی قوم کے پاس لوٹ کر گئے تو کہنے لگے : {إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا یَہْدِی إِلَی الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِہِ وَلَنْ نُشْرِکَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا } (الجن) ” بھائیو ! ہم ایک عجیب قرآن سن کر آئے ہیں وہ سیدھا راستہ بتاتا ہے، ہم تو اس پر ایمان لائے اور ہرگز اپنے مالک کا کسی کو شریک نہیں بنائیں گے۔ “ تب اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی پر سورة جن نازل فرمائی اور لفظ ” أُوحِیَ إِلَیّ “ جن کا قول ہے۔
3068 Ibn Abbas (RA) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne jinoon par na Quran parha aur na hi aap ne unhen dekha aur aap (SAW) apne sahaba ki jamaat ke sath bazaar e Akaaz ki taraf ja rahe the. Un dino shaitanoon ko aasmano ki khabaren lene se rok diya gaya tha aur un par angaron ki maar hone lagi thi. Shaitan apni qaum ki taraf laut kar aaye to unhon ne poocha: kya khabar hai? Wo kahne lage: aasmano ki khabaren hum se rok di gayi hain aur hum par angare barsaye gaye. Wo kahne lage: ye jo aasmano ki khabaren tum se rok di gayi hain is ki wajah koi nayi baat maloom hoti hai, zara zameen ke mashriq-o-maghrib mein ghoom phir kar dekho ki kon si nayi baat hui? Jis ki wajah se aasman ki khabaren tum se rok di gayin. Ye sun kar wo charon taraf phail gaye. Un mein se jo jinat Tehama ki taraf nikle the wo Nabi (SAW) ke paas pahunche. Is waqt aap wadi "Nakhla" mein the aur Akaaz ki mandi ko jane ka irada tha. Aap sahaba ko fajr ki namaz parha rahe the. Jab un jinoon ne Quran suna to kaan laga liye aur kahne lage: Allah ki qasam! Yahi wo cheez hai jo hamare aur aasman ki khabron ke darmiyaan hail ho gayi hai. Jab wo apni qaum ke paas laut kar gaye to kahne lage: {Inna sami'na Qur'anan ajaban yahdi ila-r-rushdi fa'amanna bihi wa lan nushrika bi Rabbina ahada} (Al-Jinn) "Bhaio! Hum ek ajeeb Quran sun kar aaye hain wo seedha rasta batata hai, hum to is par iman laaye aur hargiz apne malik ka kisi ko sharik nahin banayenge." Tab Allah Ta'ala ne apne Nabi par Surah Jinn nazil farmayi aur lafz "oohiya ilayya" jinn ka qaul hai.
It is narrated from Abu Nadrah that we were having an academic discussion with Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him). A man said: “Do not speak of anything other than the Quran.” Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: “You are indeed foolish and stupid. Have you found this in the Quran that you should pray four rak'ahs of Zuhr, four of Asr and do not recite aloud in them, and pray three rak'ahs of Maghrib, recite aloud in two and recite silently in one, and pray four rak'ahs of Isha, recite aloud in two and silently in two, and pray two rak'ahs of Fajr, and recite aloud in both rak'ahs?”

(٣٠٦٩) ابو نضرۃ سے روایت ہے کہ ہم عمران بن حصین (رض) کے پاس علمی مذاکرہ کر رہے تھے۔ ایک شخص بولا کہ قرآن کے علاوہ کوئی بات نہ کرو۔ عمران (رض) نے ان سے کہا : تو واقعی بیوقوف اور احمق ہے، کیا تجھے قرآن سے یہ بات ملی ہے کہ ظہر کی چار رکعتیں پڑھو، عصر کی بھی چار پڑھو اور ان میں قراءت اونچی نہ کرو اور مغرب کی تین رکعتیں پڑھو، دو میں جہری قراءت اور ایک میں سری قراءت کرو اور عشا کی چار رکعتیں ادا کرو، دو میں اونچی اور دو میں آہستہ قراءت کرو اور فجر کی دو رکعتیں پڑھو اور دونوں رکعتوں میں اونچی قراءت کرو ؟
Abu Nazra se riwayat hai ki hum Imran bin Hassin (RA) ke paas ilmi muzakira kar rahe thay. Ek shakhs bola ki Quran ke ilawa koi baat na karo. Imran (RA) ne un se kaha: Tu waqai bewakoof aur ahmaq hai, kya tujhe Quran se yeh baat mili hai ki Zuhar ki chaar rakaat padho, Asr ki bhi chaar padho aur un mein qirat oonchi na karo aur Maghrib ki teen rakaat padho, do mein jahri qirat aur ek mein sirri qirat karo aur Isha ki chaar rakaat ada karo, do mein oonchi aur do mein ahista qirat karo aur Fajr ki do rakaat padho aur donon rakaton mein oonchi qirat karo?
