Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 12431
(12431) Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Commander of the Faithful! You did not create the tree so that it would grow, that a branch would come out of it, and from that branch two branches would emerge. So how do you make the first superior to the second when both emerged from the first?" So Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and repeated what Zaid had said. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) also replied like Zaid, but Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the example of a flowing river. A part separates from it, then two parts separate from it, and he said: "What do you think if the water in the middle part dries up, will the two parts join again?". The Sheikh says: Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to give inheritance shares to the father and to the real and consanguine brothers and sisters.

(١٢٤٣١) حضرت زید (رض) نے کہا : اے امیرالمومنین ! نہ آپ بنائی درخت کو کہ وہ اُگے، اس سے ٹہنی نکلے، اس ٹہنی سے دو ٹہنیاں نکلیں، پس کیسے پہلی کو دوسری سے اعلیٰ بناتے ہو حالانکہ دونوں پہلی سے نکلیں ہیں، پس عمر (رض) نے حضرت علی (رض) سے سوال کیا اور جو زید سے کہا تھا وہی کہا، حضرت علی (رض) نے بھی زید کی مانند کہا مگر علی (رض) نے دریا کی طرح بنایا جو بہتا ہے اس سے ایک حصہ جدا ہوتا ہے پھر اس سے دو حصے جدا ہوتے ہیں اور کہا : آپ کا کیا خیال ہے اگر درمیان والے حصہ کا پانی خشک ہوجائے تو کیا دونوں حصے مل جائیں گے ؟ شیخ فرماتے ہیں : عبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) دادا اور حقیقی اور علاتی بھائی، بہنوں کو شریک کرتے تھے۔
(12431) Hazrat Zaid (RA) ne kaha: Aye Ameerul Momineen! Na aap banayi darakht ko keh woh ugay, us se tehni nikle, us tehni se do tehniyan niklein, pas kaise pehli ko dusri se aala banate ho halankay donon pehli se nikli hain, pas Umar (RA) ne Hazrat Ali (RA) se sawal kiya aur jo Zaid se kaha tha wohi kaha, Hazrat Ali (RA) ne bhi Zaid ki manind kaha magar Ali (RA) ne darya ki tarah banaya jo behta hai us se ek hissa juda hota hai phir us se do hisse juda hote hain aur kaha: Aap ka kya khayal hai agar darmiyan wale hissa ka pani sookh jaye to kya donon hisse mil jayen ge? Sheikh farmate hain: Abdullah bin Masood (RA) dada aur haqeeqi aur ulati bhaiyon, behenon ko sharik karte thay.
١٢٤٣١ - وَرَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْعَدَنِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بِمَعْنَاهُ،إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ:فَقَالَ زَيْدٌ:" يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، لَا تَجْعَلْ شَجَرَةً نَبَتَتْ فَانْشَعَبَ مِنْهَا غُصْنٌ، فَانْشَعَبَ فِي الْغُصْنِ غُصْنَانِ، فَمَا جَعَلَ الْأَوَّلَ أَوْلَى مِنَ الثَّانِي وَقَدْ خَرَجَ الْغُصْنَانِ مِنَ الْغُصْنِ الْأَوَّلِ؟ "فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَسَأَلَهُ، فَقَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَمَا قَالَ لِزَيْدٍ، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ كَمَا قَالَ زَيْدٌ، إِلَّا أَنَّ عَلِيًّا جَعَلَهُ سَيْلًا سَالَ فَانْشَعَبَتْ مِنْهُ شُعْبَةٌ، ثُمَّ انْشَعَبَتْ مِنْهُ شُعْبَتَانِ،فَقَالَ:" أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنَّ مَاءَ هَذِهِ الشُّعْبَةِ الْوُسْطَى يَبُسَ أَكَانَ يَرْجِعُ إِلَى الشُّعْبَتَيْنِ جَمِيعًا "أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَذَكَرَهُ.قَالَ الشَّيْخُ:وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ يُشْرِكُ بَيْنَ الْجَدِّ وَالْإِخْوَةِ وَالْأَخَوَاتِ لِأَبٍ وَأُمٍّ أَوْ لِأَبٍ
