Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1464
Sayyiduna Sa'eed bin Jubair (RA) narrates that I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (RA): "Will Ghusl (ritual bath) be necessary due to giving Ghusl to the deceased?" He (RA) replied, "Is he dead?" I said, "I hope he would be a believer." He (RA) said, "Then touch the believer, he has the strength of a person from Paradise." (Meaning, one can touch the deceased and give him Ghusl)

(١٤٦٤) سیدنا سعید بن جبیر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر (رض) سے پوچھا : کیا میت کو غسل دینے سے غسل کیا جائے گا ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : کیا میت ہے ؟ میں نے کہا : میں امید کرتا ہوں کہ وہ مؤمن ہوگا۔ انھوں نے کہا : تو مؤمن کو چھو، جنتی طاقت رکھتا ہے (یعنی میت کو چھو سکتا ہے، غسل دے سکتا ہے) ۔
Syedna Saeed bin Jubair (RA) farmate hain keh maine Syedna Ibn Umar (RA) se poocha: kya mayyat ko ghusl dene se ghusl kiya jayega? Unhon ne farmaya: kya mayyat hai? Maine kaha: mein umeed karta hun keh woh momin hoga. Unhon ne kaha: to momin ko chhu, jannati taqat rakhta hai (yani mayyat ko chhu sakta hai, ghusl de sakta hai).
١٤٦٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأُشْنَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدُوسٍ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ، ثنا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ،قَالَ:قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَيُغْتَسَلُ مِنْ غُسْلِ الْمَيِّتِ؟فَقَالَ:" مَا الْمَيِّتُ؟ "فَقُلْتُ: أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ مُؤْمِنًا قَالَ:" فَتَمَسَّحَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ "
