باب ما جاء في قول الله عز وجل: {وإذا طلقتم النساء فبلغن أجلهن فأمسكوهن بمعروف أو سرحوهن بمعروف ولا تمسكوهن ضرارا}
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 15154
Imam Shafi'i (may God have mercy on him) said regarding this verse that when their waiting period is near its end, then either reconcile with them in a good way or part ways, so that their waiting period is completed. And he has prohibited keeping them to cause harm, so no one should keep them for that purpose.

(١٥١٥٤) امام شافعی (رح) اس آیت کے بارے میں فرماتے ہیں کہ جب ان کی مدت پوری ہونے کے قریب ہو تو ان سے اچھائی کے ساتھ رجوع کرو یا چھوڑ دو ، تاکہ ان کی عدت پوری ہوجائے اور تکلیف دینے کی غرض سے روکنے سے منع فرمایا ہے کوئی بھی اس غرض سے نہ روکے۔

بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قَوْلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:{وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ سَرِّحُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَلَا تُمْسِكُوهُنَّ ضِرَارًا}[البقرة: ٢٣١]١٥١٥٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، نا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، أَنَا الرَّبِيعُ،أَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ قَالَ:إِذَا شَارَفْنَ بُلُوغَ أَجَلِهِنَّ فَرَاجِعُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ دَعُوهُنَّ تَنْقَضِي عِدَّتُهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَنَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يُمْسِكُوهُنَّ ضِرَارًا لِيَعْتَدُوا فَلَا يَحِلُّ إِمْسَاكُهُنَّ ضِرَارًا
