Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 16830
Ibn Abbas narrated that an Ansari man became an apostate and joined the polytheists, so Allah revealed this verse: {How can Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and had witnessed that the Messenger is true and clear signs had come to them? And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.} [Al-Imran 86] So his people wrote to him this verse, so he said: “By Allah, neither my people have lied nor the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has lied on Allah, and Allah is the most truthful of the three.” So he came back and repented, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forgave him.

(١٦٨٣٠) ابن عباس فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک انصاری مرتد ہوگیا اور مشرکین سے جا ملا تو اللہ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی : { کَیْفَ یَھْدِی اللّٰہُ قَوْمًا کَفَرُوْا بَعْدَ اِیْمَانِھِمْ وَ شَھْدِوْٓا اَنَّ الرَّسُوْلَ حَقٌّ وَّ جَآئَ ھُمُ الْبَیِّنٰتُ وَ اللّٰہُ لَا یَھْدِی الْقَوْمَ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۔ } [آل عمران ٨٦] تو اس کی قوم نے اس کو یہ لکھ کر بھیجی تو کہنے لگا : واللہ نہ میری قوم نے جھوٹ بولا ہے اور نہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اللہ پر جھوٹ بولا ہے اور اللہ تو تینوں میں سب سے سچا ہے تو وہ واپس آگیا اور توبہ کرلی تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کو معاف کردیا۔
(16830) ibne Abbas farmate hain ke ek ansari murtad hogaya aur mushrikeen se ja mila to Allah ne ye aayat nazil farmai : { kaifa yahdee Allah qauman kafaroo ba'ada eemanhim wa shahidoo anna arrasoola haqqunw wa ja'ahum albayyinatu wallah la yahdee alqawma azzalimeen } [al Imran 86] to uski qaum ne usko ye likh kar bheji to kahne laga : wallahi na meri qaum ne jhoot bola hai aur na nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Allah par jhoot bola hai aur Allah to teeno mein sab se sacha hai to woh wapis aagaya aur tauba karli to nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne usko maaf kardiya.
١٦٨٣٠ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ السُّكَّرِيُّ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،قَالَ:" ارْتَدَّ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَلَحِقَ بِالْمُشْرِكِينَ،قَالَ:فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:{كَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللهُ قَوْمًا كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانَهِمْ وَشَهِدُوا أَنَّ الرَّسُولَ حَقٌّ}[آل عمران: ٨٦]إِلَى قَوْلِهِ:{إِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا}[البقرة: ١٦٠]،قَالَ:فَكَتَبَ بِهَا قَوْمُهُ إِلَيْهِ،فَلَمَّا قُرِئَتْ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ:وَاللهِ مَا كَذَبَنِي قَوْمِي عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَا كَذَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَاللهُ أَصْدَقُ الثَّلَاثَةِ،قَالَ:فَرَجَعَ تَائِبًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَبِلَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ وَخَلَّى سَبِيلَهُ "
