Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 17427
Zayd bin Aslam narrated from his father that a drink made from dates (nabeez) used to be prepared for Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He used to drink what was prepared in the morning in the evening and what was prepared in the evening in the morning, and it would not have a sour taste.

(١٧٤٢٧) زید بن اسلم اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر (رض) کے لیے منقہ کی نبیذ بنائی جاتی۔ آپ صبح کی بنائی ہوئی شام کو پیا کرتے اور شام کی صبح کو اور اس میں ترش ذائقہ نہیں ہوتا تھا۔
zaid bin aslam apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki hazrat umar (rz) ke liye munqqa ki nabiz banai jati aap subah ki banai hui sham ko piya karte aur sham ki subah ko aur is mein tarash zaeqa nahi hota tha
١٧٤٢٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْجُوزِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا، ثنا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،قَالَ:" كَانَ النَّبِيذُ الَّذِي يَشْرَبُ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ يُنْقَعُ لَهُ الزَّبِيبُ غُدْوَةً فَيَشْرَبُهُ عَشِيَّةً، وَيُنْقَعُ لَهُ عَشِيَّةً فَيَشْرَبُهُ غُدْوَةً، وَلَا يُجْعَلُ فِيهِ دُرْدِيٌّ "
