Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 20331
Yusuf bin Majshoon narrates that Ibn Shihab said: "My nephew, my uncle's son, and I were young. We used to ask them (the companions of the Prophet) about Hadith. They would say, 'Don't consider yourselves insignificant because of your young age. When a difficult matter would come to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he would call the youth, consult them, and seek their sharp intellect.'"

(٢٠٣٣١) یوسف بن ماجشون فرماتے ہیں کہ ابن شہاب نے کہا : میں اور میرے بھتیجے اور چچا کے بیٹے ! ہم نوجوان تھے، ہم ان سے حدیث کے متعلق پوچھتے تھے، فرماتے : چھوٹی عمر ہونے کی وجہ سے تم اپنے آپ کو حقیر نہ جانو۔ جب حضرت عمر (رض) کے پاس کوئی مشکل معاملہ آتا تو وہ نوجوان کو بلاتے ان سے مشورہ لیتے اور ان کیتیز عقلکو تلاش کرتے۔
20331 Yousuf bin Majshoon farmate hain keh Ibn Shahab ne kaha: mein aur merey bhatijey aur chacha ke bete! hum naujawan thay, hum un se hadees ke mutaliq poochte thay, farmate: chhoti umar hone ki waja se tum apne aap ko haqeer na jaano. Jab Hazrat Umar (Raz) ke paas koi mushkil mamla aata to woh naujawan ko bulate un se mashwara lete aur un ki tez aqal ko talaash karte.
٢٠٣٣١ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْفَسَوِيُّ، بِالْبَصْرَةِ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أنبأ يُوسُفُ الْمَاجِشُونُ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَعْرُوفِ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ بِشْرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ نَصْرٍ الْحَذَّاءُ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ الْمَاجِشُونُ،قَالَ:قَالَ لَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَنَا وَابْنُ أَخِي، وَابْنُ عَمٍّ لِي، وَنَحْنُ غِلْمَانٌ أَحْدَاثٌ،نَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الْحَدِيثِ:" لَا تَحْقِرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ لِحَدَاثَةِ أَسْنَانِكُمْ، فَإِنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِهِ الْأَمْرُ الْمُعْضِلُ دَعَا الْفِتْيَانَ فَاسْتَشَارَهُمْ، يَبْتَغِي حِدَّةَ عُقُولِهِمْ ". لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ عَلِيٍّ
