Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 319
Abd Khair reported: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us and prayed. Then, he asked for some water. We said, "What will you do with water when you have already prayed?" He (may Allah be pleased with him) wanted to teach us the method of ablution (wudu). So, a vessel and a basin filled with water were brought. He (may Allah be pleased with him) poured water from the vessel onto his right hand and washed it three times. Then, he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose three times. He (may Allah be pleased with him) would clear his nose and mouth with the same hand with which he took the water. Then, he washed his face three times and washed his right and left hands three times. Then, he (may Allah be pleased with him) dipped his hand in the vessel and wiped his head once. Then, he washed his right and left feet three times and said, "Whoever wants to know how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, then this is how he performed ablution."

(٣١٩) عبد خیر فرماتے ہیں کہ ہمارے پاس سیدنا علی (رض) آئے، آپ نے نماز پڑھی، پھر پانی منگوایا۔ ہم نے عرض کیا : آپ پانی سے کیا کریں گے حالانکہ آپ نے نماز پڑھ لی ہے ؟ وہ ہمیں وضو کا طریقہ سکھلانا چاہتے تھے، چنانچہ ایک برتن اور تھال لایا گیا، جس میں پانی تھا۔ آپ نے برتن سے اپنے دائیں ہاتھ پر پانی ڈالا اور اس کو تین مرتبہ دھویا، پھر کلی کی اور تین مرتبہ ناک میں پانی چڑھایا، آپ کلی اور ناک اسی ہتھیلی سے جھاڑتے جس سے پانی لیتے تھے، پھر اپنے چہرے کو تین مرتبہ دھویا اور اپنے دائیں اور بائیں ہاتھ کو تین مرتبہ دھویا، پھر اپنا ہاتھ برتن میں ڈالا اور ایک مرتبہ سر کا مسح کیا، پھر اپنا دایاں بایاں پاؤں تین مرتبہ دھویا پھر فرمایا : جس کو پسند ہو کہ وہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا وضو جانے تو یہی آپ کا وضو ہے۔
319 Abd Khair farmate hain ki hamare pass syedna Ali (ra) aae, aap ne namaz parhi, phir pani mangvaya. Hum ne arz kiya : aap pani se kya karenge halanki aap ne namaz parh li hai ? Wo humein wuzu ka tareeqa sikhlana chahte the, chunancha ek bartan aur thal laya gaya, jis mein pani tha. Aap ne bartan se apne dayen hath par pani dala aur is ko teen martaba dhoya, phir kuli ki aur teen martaba nak mein pani charhaya, aap kuli aur nak isi hatheli se jhaarte jisse pani lete the, phir apne chehre ko teen martaba dhoya aur apne dayen aur baen hath ko teen martaba dhoya, phir apna hath bartan mein dala aur ek martaba sar ka masah kiya, phir apna dayan baayan paon teen martaba dhoya phir farmaya : jis ko pasand ho ki wo Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka wuzu jane to yahi aap ka wuzu hai.
٣١٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقْرِئُ، أَنَا الْحَسَنَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ، أنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ،قَالَا:أَتَانَا عَلِيٌّ وَقَدْ صَلَّى فَدَعَا بِطَهُورٍ،فَقُلْنَا:مَا يَصْنَعُ بِالطَّهُورِ وَقَدْ صَلَّى؟ مَا يُرِيدُ إِلَّا لِيُعَلِّمَنَا، فَأُتِيَ بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ وَطَسْتٍ، فَأَفْرَغَ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ فَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ تَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا، مَضْمَضَ وَنَثَرَ مِنَ الْكَفِّ الَّذِي يَأْخُذُ مِنْهُ الْمَاءَ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ الشِّمَالَ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ جَعَلَ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ فَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثَلَاثًا وَرِجْلَهُ الشِّمَالَ ثَلَاثًا،ثُمَّ قَالَ:" مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَعْلَمَ وُضُوءَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهُوَ هَذَا "
