Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 3852
'Abdul Rahman bin Shammaasah (RA) narrated: 'Uqbah bin 'Amr Al-Juhani (RA) led us in prayer. He intended to sit (in the second Rak'ah of Fajr) but (forgot and) stood up. The people said: "SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah)! SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah)!" But he did not sit down and remained standing. When he was at the end of the prayer, he performed two prostrations of forgetfulness while sitting. When he finished the prayer he said: "I heard you saying SubhanAllah a while ago so that I sit down, but the Sunnah (Prophet's way) is what I did." This has been narrated from a large group of the Companions and what we have mentioned is sufficient. And with Allah lies all success.

(٣٨٥٢) حضرت عبدالرحمن بن شماسہ (رح) بیان کرتے ہیں : ہمیں حضرت عقبہ بن عامر جہنی (رض) نے نماز پڑھائی انھیں بیٹھنا تھا لیکن وہ کھڑے ہوگئے۔ لوگوں نے کہا : سبحان اللہ، سبحان اللہ ! تو وہ نہ بیٹھے اور کھڑے رہے۔ جب وہ نماز کے آخر میں تھے تو انھوں نے بیٹھے بیٹھے سہو کے دو سجدے کیے۔ جب سلام پھیرا تو فرمایا : میں نے تمہیں ابھی ابھی سبحان اللہ کہتے سنا ہے تاکہ میں بیٹھ جاؤں لیکن سنت طریقہ وہی ہے جو میں نے کیا۔ اس بارے میں صحابہ کی ایک کثیر تعداد سے روایت کیا گیا ہے اور جو ہم نے ذکر کردیا، یہی کافی ہے۔ وباللہ التوفیق
3852 Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Shamasa (rah) bayan karte hain : humain Hazrat Aqba bin Aamir Jahni (raz) ne namaz parhayi unhein baithna tha lekin woh kharay hogaye logon ne kaha : Subhan Allah Subhan Allah to woh na baithe aur kharay rahe jab woh namaz ke akhir mein the to unhon ne baithe baithe sahu ke do sajday kiye jab salam phera to farmaya : mein ne tumhein abhi abhi Subhan Allah kahte suna hai taake mein baith jaun lekin sunnat tareeqa wahi hai jo mein ne kiya is baare mein Sahaba ki aik kaseer tadaad se riwayat kiya gaya hai aur jo hum ne zikar kiya yahi kaafi hai wa baillahi taufeeq
٣٨٥٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُنْقِدٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، ثنا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ،أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ شِمَاسَةَ الْمَهْرِيَّ يَقُولُ:" صَلَّى بِنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ فَقَامَ وَعَلَيْهِ جُلُوسٌ،فَقَالَ النَّاسُ:سُبْحَانَ اللهِ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، فَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ وَمَضَى عَلَى قِيَامِهِ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ صَلَاتِهِ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ،فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ:"إِنِّي سَمِعْتُكُمْ آنِفًا تَقُولُونَ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، لِكَيْمَا أَجْلِسَ لَكِنَّ السُّنَّةَ الَّذِي صَنَعْتُ " ⦗٤٨٦⦘ وَرُوِّينَا ذَلِكَ عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ، وَفِيمَا ذَكَرْنَا كِفَايَةٌ وَبِاللهِ التَّوْفِيقُ
