Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 5284
Jabir bin Samurah reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed prayer like you (people) observe prayer today, but he (ﷺ) observed it briefly and his prayer was lighter than your prayer. And he (ﷺ) would recite Surahs like Sura al-Fajr and Sura al-Waqiah in Fajr prayer.

(٥٢٨٤) جابر بن سمرہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نمازیں اس طرح پڑھتے تھے جیسے آج تمہاری نمازیں ہیں، لیکن آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تخفیف کرتے اور آپ کی نماز تمہاری نماز سے ہلکی ہوتی تھی۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سو رہ ” فجر “ اور ” واقعہ “ جیسی سورتیں پڑھا کرتے تھے۔

٥٢٨٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ الطُّوسِيُّ بِهَا أنبأ أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْمُحَمَّدَآبَاذِيُّ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حَسَّانَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ،عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ:كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ كَنَحْوٍ مِنْ صَلَاتِكُمُ الَّتِي تُصَلُّونَ الْيَوْمَ وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ يُخَفِّفُ كَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ أَخَفَّ مِنْ صَلَاتِكُمْ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفَجْرِ الْوَاقِعَةَ وَنَحْوَهَا مِنَ السُّوَرِ
