Chapter: Listening to the Khutbah on Eid; The Narrations Mention Listening to the Khutbah on Friday, and Listening to the Khutbah on Eid is Analogous to It
باب الاستماع للخطبة في العيدين قد مضت الأخبار المسندة في الاستماع للخطبة في الجمعة، والاستماع للخطبة في العيدين قياس عليه

Abdullah bin Saib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led them in Eid prayer, then delivered the sermon. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever wishes to stay, let him stay, and whoever wishes to leave may leave. In the narration of Ibn Hammad, it is said: I was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of Eid. When he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the prayer, he said: Whoever wishes to listen to the sermon, let him listen, and whoever wishes to leave may leave.

(٦٢٢٣) عبداللہ بن سائب (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کو نمازِ عیدپڑھائی، پھر خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو ٹھہرنا چاہے وہ ٹھہر جائے اور جو جانا پسند کرے وہ جاسکتا ہے۔ ابن حماد کی روایت میں ہے کہ میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ عید کے دن حاضر ہوا۔ جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پوری کی تو فرمایا۔ جو خطبہ سننا پسند کرے وہ سنے اور جو جانا پسند کرے وہ جاسکتا ہے۔
6223 Abdullah bin Saib (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi (SAW) ne un ko namaz e Eid parhayi phir khutba irshad farmaya Aap (SAW) ne farmaya jo theherna chahe wo theher jaye aur jo jana pasand kare wo ja sakta hai Ibn e Hamad ki riwayat mein hai ke mein Rasulullah (SAW) ke sath Eid ke din hazir hua Jab Aap (SAW) ne namaz poori ki to farmaya jo khutba sunna pasand kare wo sune aur jo jana pasand kare wo ja sakta hai
٦٢٢٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ أَخُو نُعَيْمِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى السِّينَانِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ،وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالُوا:ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ سَعْدَوَيْهِ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى السِّينَانِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِهِمُ الْعِيدَ،ثُمَّ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ:" ⦗٤٢٣⦘ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُقِيمَ فَلْيُقِمْ، وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَمْضِيَ فَلْيَمْضِ ". لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ سَعْدَوَيْهِ
