Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 6316
Abu Shuraih Khuza'i narrates that during the time of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), a solar eclipse occurred in Medina. Abdullah bin Mas'ud was also with him. Uthman went out and led the people in prayer. In each rak'ah, he performed two bowings and two prostrations. Then Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) returned and entered his house. Ibn Mas'ud sat in Aisha's (may Allah be pleased with her) room. We also sat with him. He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to command the prayer at the time of solar and lunar eclipses, and (he said), “When you see that the sun and the moon have been eclipsed, then hasten to the prayer.” If it is that which you fear, meaning the Day of Judgment, then you will not be heedless, and if it is not that, then you have attained good or he said: You have perfected good.

(٦٣١٦) ابو شریح خزاعی فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عثمان (رض) کے دور میں مدینہ میں سورج گرہن ہوا۔ ان کے ساتھ عبداللہ بن مسعود بھی تھے۔ حضرت عثمان نکلے اور لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی۔ ہر رکعت میں دو رکوع اور دو سجدے۔ پھر حضرت عثمان (رض) پھرگئے اور اپنے گھر داخل ہوئے۔ ابن مسعود عائشہ (رض) کے حجرہ میں بیٹھ گئے۔ ہم بھی ان کے پاس بیٹھ گئے۔ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سورج اور چاند گرہن کے وقت نماز کا حکم دیتے تھے اور جب تم دیکھو کہ سورج اور چاند کو گرہن نے پالیا ہے تو تم نماز کی طرف جلدی کرو۔ اگر تو یہ وہ ہے جس سے تم ڈرتے رہو، یعنی قیامت تو تم غفلت پر نہ ہو گے اور اگر یہ وہ نہیں تو پھر تم نے بھلائی کو پالیا یا فرمایا : تم نے بھلائی کو کمالیا۔
(6316) Abu Shuraih Khuzai farmate hain ki Hazrat Usman (RA) ke daur mein Madina mein sooraj grahan hua. Unke saath Abdullah bin Masood bhi thay. Hazrat Usman nikle aur logon ko namaz parhayi. Har rakat mein do ruku aur do sajde. Phir Hazrat Usman (RA) phir gaye aur apne ghar dakhil huye. Ibn Masood Ayesha (RA) ke hujre mein baith gaye. Hum bhi unke pass baith gaye. Farmate hain ki Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) sooraj aur chand grahan ke waqt namaz ka hukum dete thay aur jab tum dekho ki sooraj aur chand ko grahan ne pa liya hai to tum namaz ki taraf jaldi karo. Agar tum yeh woh hai jisse tum darte raho, yani qayamat to tum ghaflat per na ho ge aur agar yeh woh nahin to phir tumne bhalai ko pa liya ya farmaya : tumne bhalai ko kama liya.
٦٣١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَرْمَوِيُّ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ الْفَقِيهُ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ النَّسَوِيُّ بِهَا، أنبأ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَبِي،عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ:حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثُمَّ الْخَطْمِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَوْجَاءِ،عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَ:" كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فِي عَهْدِ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَبِهَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: "فَخَرَجَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ تِلْكَ الصَّلَاةَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ،قَالَ:ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ عُثْمَانُ فَدَخَلَ دَارَهُ، وَجَلَسَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ إِلَى حُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ وَجَلَسْنَا إِلَيْهِ،فَقَالَ:" إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِالصَّلَاةِ عِنْدَ كُسُوفِ الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ قَدْ أَصَابَهُمَا فَافْزَعُوا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، فَإِنَّهَا إِنْ كَانَتِ الَّتِي تَحْذَرُونَ كَانَتْ وَأَنْتُمْ عَلَى غَيْرِ غَفْلَةٍ، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ كُنْتُمْ قَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ خَيْرًا أَوِ اكْتَسَبْتُمُوهُ ". وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ
