Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 7095
Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the hardness of his heart. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If you want your heart to soften, then stroke the head of an orphan (show him love) and feed him."

(٧٠٩٥) ابو درداء (رض) نے سلمان کی طرف لکھا کہ ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس اپنے دل کی سختی کی شکایت کی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اگر تو چاہتا ہے کہ تیرا دل نرم ہوجائے پھر تو یتیم کے سر پر ہاتھ رکھ (پیار دے ) اور اسے کھلا پلا۔
(7095) Abu Darda (RA) ne Salman ki taraf likha keh aik shakhs ne Rasul Allah (SAW) ke paas apne dil ki sakhti ki shikayat ki to aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Agar tu chahta hai keh tera dil narm ho jaye phir tu yatim ke sar par hath rakh (pyar de) aur use khula pila.
٧٠٩٥ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ،رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَتَبَ إِلَى سَلْمَانَ:أَنَّ رَجُلًا شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسْوَةَ قَلْبِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنْ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ يُلَيَّنَ قَلْبُكَ فَامْسَحْ رَأْسَ الْيَتِيمِ وَأَطْعِمْهُ "
