Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 7124
Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “When you visit a deceased or a sick person, say good things, for whatever you say, the angels say ‘Amen’ to it.” So when Abu Salama passed away, I said: “O Messenger of Allah, what should I say?” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Say: ‘O Allah, forgive us and him, and grant us from him a righteous successor.’” She said: “So I said these words, and Allah granted me Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).”

(٧١٢٤) ام سلمہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا کہ جب تم میت یا مریض کے پاس جاؤ تو اچھی بات کہو کیونکہ تم جو کہتے ہو فرشتے اسی پر آمین کہتے ہیں، سو جب ابو سلمہ فوت ہوگئے تو میں نے کہا : اللہ کے رسول ! میں کیا کہوں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تو کہہ : (اللَّہُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَہُ وَأَعْقِبَنَا مِنْہُ عُقْبَی صَالِحَۃً ) فرماتی ہیں : میں نے یہ کلمات کہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) عطا فرما دیے۔
Umme Salma (Razi Allah Anha) farmati hain keh maine Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna keh jab tum mayyat ya mareed ke paas jao to acchi baat kaho kyunki tum jo kehte ho farishte usi par ameen kehte hain, so jab Abu Salma foot hogaye to maine kaha: Allah ke Rasool! main kya kahun? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: To keh: (Allahummaghfir lana wa lahu wa a'qibna minhu 'uqba salihatan) farmati hain: Maine ye kalmat kahe to Allah Ta'ala ne mujhe Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ata farma diye.
٧١٢٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا،قَالَتْ:سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" إِذَا حَضَرْتُمُ الْمَيِّتَ أَوِ الْمَرِيضَ فَقُولُوا خَيْرًا؛ فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يُؤَمِّنُونَ عَلَى مَا تَقُولُونَ "،فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قُلْتُ:يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَقُولُ؟قَالَ:" قُولِي اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ وَأَعْقِبْنَا مِنْهُ عُقْبَى صَالِحَةً ". فَقُلْتُهَا فَأَعْقَبَنِي اللهُ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ
