Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 730
Narrated Sayyidina Ubayy bin 'Uthman: That Sayyidina 'Uthman bin 'Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) ate bread and meat, then rinsed his mouth, washed his hands and wiped his face, then he prayed but did not perform ablution.

(٧٣٠) سیدنا ابان بن عثمان سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا عثمان بن عفان (رض) نے روٹی اور گوشت کھایا، پھر کلی کی اور ہاتھ دھوئے اور اپنے چہرے پر مسح کیا، پھر نماز پڑھی لیکن وضو نہیں کیا۔
(730) Syedna Aban bin Usman se riwayat hai keh Syedna Usman bin Affan (RA) ne roti aur gosht khaya, phir qulli ki aur hath dhoye aur apne chehre par masah kiya, phir namaz parhi lekin wuzu nahi kiya.
٧٣٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ،" أَكَلَ خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا، ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ، وَمَسَحَ بِهِمَا وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ "
