Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8183
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Fast on sighting it (the new moon of Ramadan) and break the fast on sighting it (the new moon of Shawwal). But if the sky is overcast for you, then complete thirty days of fasting.” [Sahih Muslim].

(٨١٨٣) ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کے نظر آنے پر روزہ رکھو اور اس کے نظر آنے پر افطار کرو۔ اگر تم پر بادل چھاجائیں تو تیس دن کے روزے رکھو۔[صحیح۔ انظر قبلہ ]
(8183) Abu Hurairah (RA) farmate hain keh Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Is ke nazar aane par roza rakho aur is ke nazar aane par iftar karo. Agar tum par badal chha jain to tees din ke roze rakho. [Sahih. Anzar Qibla].
٨١٨٣ - وَحَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْخُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو الطَّيِّبِ سَهْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ إِمْلَاءً فِي آخَرِينَ،قَالُوا:ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ الْأَصَمُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْمُنَادِي، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،قَالَ:قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَصُومُوا ثَلَاثِينَ "
