Chapter on i'tikaf in the mosque.
باب الاعتكاف في المسجد
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8570
(8570) Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would observe Itikaf (seclusion in the mosque), he would bring his blessed head close to me and I would comb his hair. But he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would not enter the house except for a human need. Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) also narrated that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would bring his head to me while he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in the mosque, and I would comb his hair. (In the narration of Ibn Wahb it is stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would not enter the house except for a human need. Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would bring his head inside to me while he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in the mosque, and I would comb his hair).

(٨٥٧٠) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) بیان کرتی ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اعتکاف کرتے تو اپنا سر مبارک میرے قریب کرتے۔ میں اس میں کنگھی کردیتی مگر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سوائے حاجت انسانی کے گھر میں داخل نہ ہوتے۔ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) یہ بھی بیان کرتی ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) میری طرف اپنا سر کرتے مگر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مسجد ہی میں ہوتے اور میں کنگھی کرتی۔ (ابن وھب کی روایت میں ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے تھے سوائے حاجت انسانی کے ، سیدہ عائشہ (رض) بیان کرتی ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنا سرمیری طرف داخل کرتے مگر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مسجد میں ہی ہوتے اور میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے کنگھی کرتی۔ )
(8570) Sayyida Ayesha (Razi Allahu Anha) bayan karti hain ke Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aitkaf karte to apna sar mubarak mere qareeb karte. Main is mein kanghi kar deti magar Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) siwaye hajat insani ke ghar mein dakhil na hote. Sayyida Ayesha (Razi Allahu Anha) yeh bhi bayan karti hain ke Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) meri taraf apna sar karte magar Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) masjid hi mein hote aur main kanghi karti. (Ibn Wahab ki riwayat mein hai ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ghar mein dakhil nahin hote thay siwaye hajat insani ke, Sayyida Ayesha (Razi Allahu Anha) bayan karti hain ke Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) apna sar meri taraf dakhil karte magar Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) masjid mein hi hote aur main Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke kanghi karti.)
٨٥٧٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي،قَالَا:ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ،قَالَ:قُرِئَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَكَ يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، وَمَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، وَاللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، وَعَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ،ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَمُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الذُّهْلِيَانُ قَالَا:ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ،عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ:كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اعْتَكَفَ يُدْنِي إِلَيَّ رَأْسَهُ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ، وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى وَفِي رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنِ الْجَمَاعَةِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ،وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا:كَانَ يُدْخِلُ عَلَيَّ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَقَالَ ⦗٥١٩⦘ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، وَعَمْرَةَ وَكَأَنَّهُ حَمَلَ رِوَايَةَ مَالِكٍ عَلَى رِوَايَةِ اللَّيْثِ وَيُونُسَ، وَأَمَّا مَالِكٌ فَإِنَّهُ يَقُولُ فِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى هَكَذَا وَأَخْرَجَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ وَعَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
