Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent me to Yemen, and I met him in the year he performed Hajj. He said to me, "O Abu Musa! What did you say when you entered the state of Ihram?" I replied, "I intended to do as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did." He asked, "Did you bring an animal for sacrifice?" I said, "No." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Go and perform Tawaf around the Ka'bah and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and then you will be Halal (released from the restrictions of Ihram)." So I went and performed Sa'i between Safa and Marwah. Then I went to the women of Bani Qais, my paternal aunts, and they washed my head and combed my hair. Later, during the caliphate of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), I went to perform Hajj. While I was narrating to the people what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had told me, a man came and said, "Beware! You don't know what the Amir al-Mu'minin (Umar) has added to the rituals of Hajj." I said, "O people! Do not believe anyone who says anything until the Amir al-Mu'minin arrives. Follow him." When Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, I asked, "Has any new ruling been made regarding the rituals of Hajj?" Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) became angry and said, "Yes! If we follow the Book of Allah, He has commanded us to complete the rituals. And if we follow the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), you were not Halal until you offered the sacrifice."

(٨٦٨٧) ابوموسیٰ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے یمن کی طرف بھیجا تو میں آپ کو اس سال ملا جس سال آپ نے حج کیا تو آپ نے مجھے فرمایا : اے ابوموسیٰ ! جب تو نے احرام باندھا تھا تو کیا کہا تھا ؟ میں نے کہا کہ میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی طرح کرنے کی نیت کی تھی، آپ نے پوچھا : کیا تو قربانی کا جانور لایا ہے ؟ میں نے کہا : نہیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جا بیت اللہ کا طواف کر اور صفا و مروہ کی سعی کر کے حلال ہوجا۔ تو میں گیا اور میں نے صفا ومروہ کی سعی کی، پھر میں آل ِقیس کی عورتوں یعنی اپنی پھوپھیوں کے پاس گیا، انھوں نے میرا سر دھویا اور کنگھی کی، پھر اس کے بعد عمر (رض) کے دور خلافت میں میں حج کرنے کے لیے آیا تو اس دوران کہ میں لوگوں کو وہ بات بتارہا تھا جو مجھے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمائی تھی ایک شخص آیا اور کہنے لگا : بچ کر رہو اپنی اس بات کی بنا پر آپ کو پتہ نہیں کہ امیرالمومنین نے مناسک حج میں کیا اضافہ کیا ہے ؟ تو میں نے کہا : اے لوگو ! جس نے کوئی بھی بات سنی ہے وہ اس کا اعتبار نہ کرے حتیٰ کہ امیر المومنین تشریف لے آئیں۔ پس انہی کی اقتدا کرو۔ جب عمر (رض) تشریف لائے تو میں نے کہا : کیا طریقۂ حج میں کوئی نیا حکم جاری ہوا ہے ؟ تو عمر (رض) اس بات سے غصے ہوئے ، پھر کہا : ہاں اگر ہم کتاب اللہ کو لیں تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے مکمل کرنے کا حکم دیا اور اگر ہم رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو لیں تو آپ قربانی کرنے سے پہلے حلال نہیں ہوئے۔
(8687) abumusa (raz) farmate hain keh mujhe rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne yaman ki taraf bheja to main aap ko is saal mila jis saal aap ne hajj kiya to aap ne mujhe farmaya : aye abumusa ! jab to ne ehram bandha tha to kya kaha tha ? main ne kaha keh main ne nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki tarah karne ki niyat ki thi, aap ne pucha : kya to qurbani ka janwar laya hai ? main ne kaha : nahi, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : ja bait ullah ka tawaf kar aur safa o marwah ki saee kar ke halal ho ja. to main gaya aur main ne safa o marwah ki saee ki, phir main aal e qais ki auraton yani apni phoophiyon ke pas gaya, unhon ne mera sar dhoya aur kanghi ki, phir is ke baad umar (raz) ke daur khilafat mein main hajj karne ke liye aaya to is dauran keh main logon ko woh baat bata raha tha jo mujhe rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaee thi ek shakhs aaya aur kehne laga : bach kar raho apni is baat ki bana par aap ko pata nahi keh ameerul momineen ne manasik hajj mein kya izafa kiya hai ? to main ne kaha : aye logon ! jis ne koi bhi baat suni hai woh is ka aitbar na kare hatta keh ameerul momineen tashreef le aayen. pas unhi ki iqtida karo. jab umar (raz) tashreef laaye to main ne kaha : kya tareeqa hajj mein koi naya hukm jari hua hai ? to umar (raz) is baat se ghusse huye , phir kaha : haan agar hum kitab allah ko len to allah taala ne mukammal karne ka hukm diya aur agar hum rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko len to aap qurbani karne se pehle halal nahi huye.
٨٦٨٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أنبأ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أنبأ أَبُو عُمَيْسٍ،قَالَ:سَمِعْتُ قَيْسَ بْنَ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ،عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ:كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَنِي إِلَى الْيَمَنِ قَالَ: فَوَافَقْتُهُ فِي الْعَامِ الَّذِي حَجَّ فِيهِ،فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" يَا أَبَا مُوسَى كَيْفَ قُلْتَ حِينَ أَحْرَمْتَ؟ "قَالَ: قُلْتُ إِهْلَالٌ كَإِهْلَالِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:" هَلْ سُقْتَ هَدْيًا؟ "قُلْتُ: لَا،قَالَ:" فَانْطَلِقْ فَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ثُمَّ أَحِلَّ "، فَانْطَلَقْتُ فَطُفْتُ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ثُمَّ عَمَدْتُ إِلَى نِسْوَةٍ مِنْ آلِ قَيْسٍ يَعْنِي عَمَّاتِهِ فَمَشَطْنَ رَأْسِي بِالْغُسْلِ،فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي إِمَارَةِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَدِمْتُ حَاجًّا فَبَيْنَا أَنَا أُحَدِّثُ النَّاسَ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ بِمَا أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ قَدِمَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ:دُونَكَ أَيُّهَا الرَّجُلُ بِحَدِيثِكَ فَإِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي النُّسُكِ،فَقُلْتُ:يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ مَنْ سَمِعَ شَيْئًا فَلَا يَأْخُذْ بِهِ حَتَّى يَقْدَمَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَبِهِ ائْتَمُّوا فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قُلْتُ لَهُ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَحَدَثَ فِي النُّسُكِ شَيْءٌ فَغَضِبَ عُمَرُ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَجَلْ لَئَنْ نَأْخُذَ بِكِتَابِ اللهِ فَقَدْ أَمَرَ اللهُ بِالتَّمَامِ وَأَنْ نَأْخُذَ بِسُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيِّنَا فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَحِلَّ حَتَّى بَلَغَ الْهَدْيُ مَحِلَّهُ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَوْنٍ
