Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Hajj al-Akbar (the Greater Hajj) is on the Day of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha), and 'Umrah is Hajj al-Asghar (the Lesser Hajj)."

(٨٧٧٠) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں : حج اکبر یوم نحر کو ہے اور عمرہ حج اصغر ہے۔
(8770) Ibn Abbas (RA) farmate hain : Hajj akbar yaum nahar ko hai aur umrah hajj asghar hai.
٨٧٧٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَحْمُودٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،قَالَ:" الْحَجُّ الْأَكْبَرُ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ وَالْحَجُّ الْأَصْغَرُ الْعُمْرَةُ "وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِي هَذَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
