Shu'aib narrated that he asked Az-Zuhri, "Did the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ever offer the Fear Prayer?" Az-Zuhri said, "I was told by Salim that `Abdullah bin `Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) had said, 'I took part in a battle with Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) in Najd. We faced the enemy and arranged ourselves in rows. Then Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) stood up to lead the prayer and one party stood to pray with him while the other faced the enemy. Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and the former party bowed and performed two prostrations. Then that party left and took the place of those who had not prayed. Allah's Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) prayed one rak`a (with the latter) and performed two prostrations and finished his prayer with Taslim. Then everyone of them bowed once and performed two prostrations individually.' "
امام زہری ؓ سے (راوی حدیث) شعیب نے پوچھا: کیا نبی ﷺ نے نماز خوف پڑھی ہے؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا: مجھے سالم نے خبر دی کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ نے فرمایا: میں ایک دفعہ نبی ﷺ کے ہمراہ نجد کی طرف جہاد کے لیے گیا۔ جب ہم دشمن کے سامنے صف آراء ہوئے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمیں نماز پڑھانے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے۔ ایک گروہ تو آپ کے ساتھ کھڑا ہوا اور دوسرا گروہ دشمن کے مقابلے میں ڈٹا رہا۔ پھر رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اپنے ہمراہ گروہ کے ساتھ ایک رکوع اور دو سجدے کیے۔ اس کے بعد یہ لوگ اس گروہ کی جگہ چلے گئے جس نے نماز نہیں پڑھی تھی۔ جب وہ آئے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان کے ساتھ بھی ایک رکوع اور دو سجدے ادا کیے اور سلام پھیر دیا۔ پھر ان میں سے ہر آدمی کھڑا ہوا اور ایک رکوع اور دو سجدے اپنے اپنے طور پر کیے۔
Imam Zuhri (Rahimahullah) se (ravi hadees) Shuayb ne pucha: Kya Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne namaz-e-khauf parhi hai? Unhon ne jawab diya: Mujhe Salim ne khabar di ke Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) ne farmaya: Mein ek dafa Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke hamrah Najd ki taraf jihad ke liye gaya. Jab hum dushman ke samne saff-ara hue to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) humein namaz parhane ke liye khare hue. Ek giroh to aap ke sath khara hua aur dusra giroh dushman ke muqable mein datta raha. Phir Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apne hamrah giroh ke sath ek ruku aur do sajde kiye. Is ke baad yeh log is giroh ki jagah chale gaye jis ne namaz nahi parhi thi. Jab wo aaye to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne un ke sath bhi ek ruku aur do sajde ada kiye aur salam pher diya. Phir un mein se har aadmi khara hua aur ek ruku aur do sajde apne apne taur par kiye.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُهُ ، هَلْ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ ؟ قَالَ :أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَوَازَيْنَا الْعَدُوَّ فَصَافَفْنَا لَهُمْ ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي لَنَا فَقَامَتْ طَائِفَةٌ مَعَهُ تُصَلِّي وَأَقْبَلَتْ طَائِفَةٌ عَلَى الْعَدُوِّ وَرَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَنْ مَعَهُ وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوا مَكَانَ الطَّائِفَةِ الَّتِي لَمْ تُصَلِّ فَجَاءُوا فَرَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ، فَقَامَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ فَرَكَعَ لِنَفْسِهِ رَكْعَةً وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ .
