Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saw some sputum on the wall facing the Qibla of the mosque and became furious with the people of the mosque and said, ‘during the prayer, Allah is in front of everyone of you and so he should not spit (or said, 'He should not expectorate').’ Then he got down and scratched the sputum with his hand. Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said (after narrating), ‘if anyone of you has to spit during the prayer, he should spit to his left."
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے قبلہ مسجد میں بلغم (لگا ہوا) دیکھا تو اہل مسجد پر سخت ناراض ہوئے اور فرمایا: ’’اللہ تعالیٰ تمہارے سامنے ہوتا ہے جب تم میں سے کوئی نماز میں ہو، لہذا تم اپنے سامنے ہرگز نہ تھوکو یا فرمایا: بلغم نہ پھینکو۔‘‘ پھر آپ منبر سے نیچے تشریف لائے اور اپنے دست مبارک سے اسے کھرچ دیا۔ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ نے کہا: تم میں سے جب کوئی تھوکے تو اپنی بائیں جانب تھوک لے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne qibla-e-masjid mein balgham (laga hua) dekha to ahl-e-masjid par sakht naraz hue aur farmaya: ''Allah Ta'ala tumhare samne hota hai jab tum mein se koi namaz mein ho, lehada tum apne samne hargiz na thuko ya farmaya: balgham na pheinko.'' Phir Aap minbar se niche tashreef laye aur apne dast-e-mubarak se ise kharach diya. Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha: tum mein se jab koi thuke to apni bayein janib thuk le.
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَقَالَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ قِبَلَ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَبْزُقَنَّ أَوْ قَالَ لَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ ، ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَحَتَّهَا بِيَدِهِ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا : إِذَا بَزَقَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْزُقْ عَلَى يَسَارِهِ .
