Narrated Abdullah bin Amr (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہ), once the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) remained behind us in a journey. He joined us while we were performing ablution for the prayer which was over-due. We were just passing wet hands over our feet (and not washing them properly) so the Prophet (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) addressed us in a loud voice and said twice or thrice, "Save your heels from the fire."
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: ایک سفر میں نبیﷺ ہم سے پیچھے رہ گئے تھے۔ پھر آپ ہمیں اس حالت میں ملے کہ ہم سے نماز میں دیر ہو گئی تھی اور ہم (جلدی جلدی) وضو کر رہے تھے۔ ہم اپنے پاؤں (خوب دھونے کی بجائے ان) پر مسح کی طرح تر ہاتھ پھیرنے لگے۔ یہ دیکھ کر آپ نے بآواز بلند دو یا تین مرتبہ فرمایا: ’’دوزخ میں جانے والی ایڑیوں پر افسوس!‘‘
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (Raziallahu Anhuma) se riwayat hai, unhone farmaya: Ek safar mein Nabi (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) hum se peechhe reh gaye the. Phir aap humein is halat mein mile ke hum se namaz mein der ho gayi thi aur hum (jaldi jaldi) wazu kar rahe the. Hum apne paon (khoob dhone ki bajaye un) par masah ki tarah tar hath pherne lage. Yeh dekh kar aap ne ba'awaz buland do ya teen martaba farmaya: "Dozakh mein jane wali ediyon par afsos!"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ عَارِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : تَخَلَّفَ عَنَّا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفْرَةٍ سَافَرْنَاهَا ، فَأَدْرَكَنَا وَقَدْ أَرْهَقَتْنَا الصَّلَاةُ وَنَحْنُ نَتَوَضَّأُ ، فَجَعَلْنَا نَمْسَحُ عَلَى أَرْجُلِنَا ، فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ : وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا .
