Hakim bin Hizam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘the seller and the buyer have the right to keep or return goods as long as they have not parted or till they part; and if both the parties spoke the truth and described the defects and qualities (of the goods), then they would be blessed in their transaction, and if they told lies or hid something, then the blessings of their transaction would be lost.’
حضرت حکیم بن حزام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے انھوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "خریدنے اور بیچنے والے دونوں کو اختیار ہے جب تک جدا نہ ہوں۔۔۔ یا یہ فرمایا یہاں تک کہ علیحدہ ہوں۔۔۔ اگر وہ سچ بولیں اور عیب وہنر ظاہر کردیں تو انھیں ان کی اس تجارت میں برکت دی جائے گی اور اگر جھوٹ بولیں یاعیب چھپائیں تو بیع کی برکت ختم کردی جائے گی۔
Hazrat Hakim bin Hizam (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Khareedne aur bechne wale dono ko ikhtiyar hai jab tak juda na hon... ya ye farmaya yahan tak ke alaihda hon... agar wo sach bolein aur aib-o-hunar zahir kar dein to inhein in ki is tijarat mein barakat di jaye gi aur agar jhoot bolein ya aib chupayein to bai ki barakat khatam kar di jaye gi.
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا ، أَوْ قَالَ حَتَّى يَتَفَرَّقَا ، فَإِنْ صَدَقَا وَبَيَّنَا ، بُورِكَ لَهُمَا فِي بَيْعِهِمَا ، وَإِنْ كَتَمَا وَكَذَبَا ، مُحِقَتْ بَرَكَةُ بَيْعِهِمَا .
