Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle called me to present myself in front of him or the eve of the battle of Uhud, while I was fourteen years of age at that time, and he did not allow me to take part in that battle, but he called me in front of him on the eve of the battle of the Trench when I was fifteen years old, and he allowed me (to join the battle). Nafi` said, I went to `Umar bin `Abdul `Aziz who was Caliph at that time and related the above narration to him, He said, This age (fifteen) is the limit between childhood and manhood, and wrote to his governors to give salaries to those who reached the age of fifteen.
حضرت ابن عمر ؓ سےروایت ہے کہ وہ اُحد کے دن رسول اللہ ﷺ کے سامنے پیش ہوئے جبکہ ان کی عمر چودہ برس ہوچکی تھی۔ آپ ﷺ نے مجھے جنگ میں جانے کی اجازت نہ دی۔ پھر میں خندق کے دن پیش ہواتو میری عمر پندرہ سال تھی تو آپ نے مجھے جنگ میں شمولیت کی اجازت دے دی۔ حضرت نافع کہتے ہیں: میں حضرت عمر بن عبدالعزیز ؒ کے پاس آیا جبکہ آپ خلیفہ تھے تو میں نے آپ سے یہ حدیث بیان کی، انھوں نے فرمایا: یہ بالغ اور نابالغ کے درمیان حد ہے، انھوں نے اپنے حکام کولکھا کہ جولوگ پندرہ سال کی عمر کو پہنچ جائیں ان کے نام دیوان میں لکھ لیا کریں اور ان کے وظیفے مقرر کردیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke woh Uhud ke din Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke samne pesh huye jabke in ki umar chaudah baras ho chuki thi. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mujhe jang mein jaane ki ijazat na di. Phir main Khandaq ke din pesh hua to meri umar pandrah saal thi to Aap ne mujhe jang mein shumooliyat ki ijazat de di. Hazrat Nafi' kehte hain: Main Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (Rehmatullah Alaihi) ke paas aaya jabke Aap khalifa thay to main ne Aap se yeh hadees bayan ki, unhon ne farmaya: yeh baligh aur nabaligh ke darmiyan hadd hai, unhon ne apne hukkam ko likha ke jo log pandrah saal ki umar ko pahunch jayein un ke naam diwan mein likh liya karein aur un ke wazife muqarrar kar dein.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَرَضَهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً ، فَلَمْ يُجِزْنِي ، ثُمَّ عَرَضَنِي يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَأَنَا ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً ، فَأَجَازَنِي ، قَالَ نَافِعٌ : فَقَدِمْتُ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ خَلِيفَةٌ ، فَحَدَّثْتُهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ هَذَا لَحَدٌّ بَيْنَ الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَكَتَبَ إِلَى عُمَّالِهِ أَنْ يَفْرِضُوا لِمَنْ بَلَغَ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ .
