Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent an army unit headed by Usama bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالی عنہ) and the people criticized his leadership. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to the people, ‘if you are criticizing his leadership now, then you used to criticize his father's leadership before. By Allah, he (Usama's father) deserved the leadership and used to be one of the most beloved persons to me, and now his son (Usama) is one of the most beloved persons to me after him.’
سیدنا ابن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک لشکر تشکیل دیا اور اس پر سیدنا اسامہ بن زید ؓ کو امیر مقرر فرمایا لیکن جب ان کی امارت کو طعن وتشنیع کا نشانہ بنایا گیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”اگر تم اس کی امارت پر طعن کرتے ہو تو اس سے پہلے تم نے اس کے والد کے لائق تھے اور مجھے تمام لوگوں سے زیادہ عزیز تھے اور ا ن کے بعد اسامہ بھی مجھے تمام لوگوں سے زیادہ عزیز ہے۔“
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne aik lashkar tashkeel diya aur is par Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (Radi Allahu Anhu) ko ameer muqarrar farmaya lekin jab in ki imarat ko ta'n o tashni ka nishana banaya gaya to aap ne farmaya: "Agar tum is ki imarat par ta'n karte ho to is se pehle tum ne is ke walid ke layeq thay aur mujhe tamam logon se zyada azeez thay aur un ke baad Usama bhi mujhe tamam logon se zyada azeez hai."
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، يَقُولُ : بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْثًا ، وَأَمَّرَ عَلَيْهِمْ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ ، فَطُعِنَ فِي إِمَارَتِهِ ، وَقَالَ : إِنْ تَطْعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ فَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ تَطْعَنُونَ فِي إِمَارَةِ أَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَخَلِيقًا لِلْإِمْرَةِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ ، وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ بَعْدَه .
