Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that I asked Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ‘what is the biggest sin in the sight of Allah?’ He said, ‘to set up rivals unto Allah though He alone created you.’ I said, ‘in fact, that is a tremendous sin,’ and added, ‘what next?’ He said, ‘to kill your son being afraid that he may share your food with you.’ I further asked, ‘what next?’ He said, ‘to commit illegal sexual intercourse with the wife of your neighbor.’
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے پوچھا: اللہ کے ہاں سب سے بڑا گناہ کون سا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: تیرا اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک ٹھہرانا، حالانکہ اس نے تجھے پیدا کیا ہے۔ ”میں نے کہا: یہ تو واقعی بہت بڑا گناہ ہے۔“ میں نے پھر پوچھا: اس کے بعد کون سا گناہ عظیم تر ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تیرا اپنی اولاد کو اس ڈر سے قتل کرنا وہ تیرے ساتھ کھانا کھائیں گے۔“ میں نے کہا:پھر کون سا ؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تیرا اپنے ہمسائے کی بیوی سے زنا کرنا.“
Sayyidna Abdullah bin Mas'ood (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha ke main ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) se poocha: Allah ke haan sab se bada gunah kaun sa hai? Aap ne farmaya: Tera Allah ke saath kisi ko shareek thehrana, halanke us ne tujhe paida kiya hai. "Main ne kaha: Yeh to waqayi bahut bada gunah hai." Main ne phir poocha: Is ke baad kaun sa gunah azeem-tar hai? Aap ne farmaya: "Tera apni aulad ko is darr se qatl karna ke woh tere saath khana khayein ge." Main ne kaha: Phir kaun sa? Aap ne farmaya: "Tera apne humsaye ki bivi se zina karna."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الذَّنْبِ أَعْظَمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَكَ ، قُلْتُ : إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَعَظِيمٌ ، قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ أَيُّ ؟ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ أَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَكَ تَخَافُ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ مَعَكَ ، قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ أَيُّ ؟ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ أَنْ تُزَانِيَ بِحَلِيلَةِ جَارِكَ .
