Sahih al-Bukhari 1129
Narrated `Aisha the mother of the faithful believers: One night Allah's Apostle offered the prayer in the Mosque and the people followed him. The next night he also offered the prayer and too many people gathered. On the third and the fourth nights more people gathered, but Allah's Apostle did not come out to them. In the morning he said, I saw what you were doing and nothing but the fear that it (i.e. the prayer) might be enjoined on you, stopped me from coming to you. And that happened in the month of Ramadan.
ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ ؓ ہی سے مروی روایت میں ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک رات مسجد میں نماز (تہجد) ادا کی تو لوگوں نے بھی آپ کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی۔ پھر دوسری رات بھی آپ نے اسے مسجد میں ادا کیا تو لوگ زیادہ جمع ہو گئے۔ پھر تیسری یا چوتھی رات لوگ اس سے بھی زیادہ جمع ہو گئے لیکن رسول اللہ ﷺ ان کے پاس باہر تشریف نہ لائے۔ جب صبح ہوئی تو آپ نے فرمایا: ’’میں تمہارے جذبات کو ملاحظہ کرتا رہا لیکن مجھے اس بات نے آپ لوگوں کے پاس آنے سے باز رکھا کہ مبادا نمازِ شب تم پر فرض ہو جائے۔‘‘ واضح رہے کہ یہ واقعہ رمضان میں پیش آیا۔
Umm-ul-Momineen Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anhu) hi se marwi riwayat mein hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek raat masjid mein namaz (tahajjud) ada ki to logon ne bhi Aap ke sath namaz ada ki. Phir doosri raat bhi Aap ne ise masjid mein ada kiya to log ziada jama ho gaye. Phir teesri ya chauthi raat log is se bhi ziada jama ho gaye lekin Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) un ke pas bahar tashreef na laye. Jab subah hui to Aap ne farmaya: ''Mein tumhare jazbaat ko mulahiza karta raha lekin mujhe is baat ne aap logon ke pas aane se baaz rakkha ke mabada namaz-e-shab tum par farz ho jaye.'' Wazeh rahe ke ye waqia Ramazan mein pesh aaya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلَّى بِصَلَاتِهِ نَاسٌ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى مِنَ الْقَابِلَةِ فَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ ، ثُمَّ اجْتَمَعُوا مِنَ اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ : قَدْ رَأَيْتُ الَّذِي صَنَعْتُمْ وَلَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي مِنَ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا أَنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تُفْرَضَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَذَلِكَ فِي رَمَضَانَ .
