Sahih al-Bukhari 1254
Narrated Um 'Atiyya: Allah's Apostle came to us and we were giving a bath to his (dead) daughter and said, Wash her three, five or more times with water and Sidr and sprinkle camphor on her at the end; and when you finish, notify me. So when we finished, we informed him and he gave us his waist-sheet and told us to shroud her in it. Aiyub said that Hafsa narrated to him a narration similar to that of Muhammad in which it was said that the bath was to be given for an odd number of times, and the numbers 3, 5 or 7 were mentioned. It was also said that they were to start with the right side and with the parts which were washed in ablution, and that Um 'Atiyya also mentioned, We combed her hair and divided them in three braids.
حضرت ام عطیہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے جبکہ ہم آپ کی صاحبزادی کو غسل دے رہی تھیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا:’’اسے تین یا پانچ یا اس سے زیادہ بار پانی اور بیری کے پتوں سے غسل دو اور آخری مرتبہ کافور شامل کرلو۔ جب تم غسل سے فارغ ہو جاؤ تو مجھے اطلاع دینا۔ ‘‘چنانچہ ہم نے فارغ ہوکر آپ کو اطلاع دی تو آپ نے ہمیں اپنا تہبند دیا اور فرمایا: ’’اسے اس میں لپیٹ دو۔‘‘ ایوب راوی کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے حفصہ بن سیرین نے محمد بن سیرین کی طرح حدیث بیان کی۔حفصہ کی حدیث میں ہے: ’’اسے طاق عدد میں غسل دو۔‘‘ اور اس میں یہ بھی ہے: ’’اسے تین، پانچ یاسات مرتبہ غسل دو۔‘‘ اور اس میں یہ بھی ہے کہ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’اس کے دائیں اعضاء اور وضو کی جگہوں سے غسل دیناشروع کرو۔‘‘ اس حدیث میں یہ تھا کہ حضرت ام عطیہ ؓ نے فرمایا:ہم نے اس کے بالوں میں کنگھی کرکے ان کی تین چوٹیاں بنا دیں۔
Hazrat Umm-e-Atiya (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) hamare pas tashreef laye jabke hum aap ki saheb-zadi ko ghusl de rahi thin. Aap ne farmaya: ''Ise teen ya panch ya is se ziada baar pani aur beri ke patton se ghusl do aur aakhri martaba kafoor shamil karlo. Jab tum ghusl se farigh ho jao to mujhe ittila dena.'' Chunanche hum ne farigh ho kar aap ko ittila di to aap ne humein apna tehband diya aur farmaya: ''Ise is mein lapet do.'' Ayub rawi kehte hain ke mujhe Hafsa bin Sireen ne Muhammad bin Sireen ki tarah hadees bayan ki. Hafsa ki hadees mein hai: ''Ise taaq adad mein ghusl do.'' aur is mein ye bhi hai: ''Ise teen, panch ya saat martaba ghusl do.'' aur is mein ye bhi hai ke Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Is ke dayein aaza aur wudhu ki jaghon se ghusl dena shuru karo.'' Is hadees mein ye tha ke Hazrat Umm-e-Atiya (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne farmaya: hum ne is ke baalon mein kanghi kar ke un ki teen chotiyaan bana dein.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا , قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نَغْسِلُ ابْنَتَهُ , فَقَالَ : اغْسِلْنَهَا ثَلَاثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِمَاءٍ , وَسِدْرٍ وَاجْعَلْنَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ كَافُورًا ، فَإِذَا فَرَغْتُنَّ فَآذِنَّنِي ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغْنَا آذَنَّاهُ فَأَلْقَى إِلَيْنَا حِقْوَهُ , فَقَالَ : أَشْعِرْنَهَا إِيَّاهُ .
