Chapter: The statement of the Prophet ﷺ : "The deceased is punished because of the weeping (with wailing) of some of his relatives, if wailing was the custom of that dead person."

Sahih al-Bukhari 1289
Narrated `Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) Once Allah's Apostle passed by (the grave of) a Jewess whose relatives were weeping over her. He said, They are weeping over her and she is being tortured in her grave.
حضرت عمرہ بنت عبدالرحمان سے روایت ہے،انھوں نے کہا:میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کی زوجہ محترمہ سیدہ عائشہ ؓ کو ہی فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ ایک یہود یہ عورت کے پاس سے گزرے جبکہ اس کے گھر والے اس پر رورہے تھے،آپ نےفرمایا:’’یہ تو اس پر رورہے ہیں،حالانکہ اسے قبر میں عذاب دیاجارہا ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Amrah bint-e-Abdur Rahman se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Main ne Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki zawja-e-muhtarma Sayyida Aisha (Radhi Allahu Anha) ko hi farmate hue suna ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ek Yahudiya aurat ke pas se guzre jabke us ke ghar wale us par ro rahe the, Aap ne farmaya: ''Yeh to is par ro rahe hain, halanke ise qabr mein azab diya ja raha hai.''
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ , أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَتْ : إِنَّمَا مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى يَهُودِيَّةٍ يَبْكِي عَلَيْهَا أَهْلُهَا ، فَقَالَ :إِنَّهُمْ لَيَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَإِنَّهَا لَتُعَذَّبُ فِي قَبْرِهَا .
