Sahih al-Bukhari 1584
Narrated `Aisha: I asked the Prophet whether the round wall (near Ka`ba) was part of the Ka`ba. The Prophet replied in the affirmative. I further said, What is wrong with them, why have they not included it in the building of the Ka`ba? He said, Don't you see that your people (Quraish) ran short of money (so they could not include it inside the building of Ka`ba)? I asked, What about its gate? Why is it so high? He replied, Your people did this so as to admit into it whomever they liked and prevent whomever they liked. Were your people not close to the Pre-Islamic Period of ignorance (i.e. they have recently embraced Islam) and were I not afraid that they would dislike it, surely I would have included the (area of the) wall inside the building of the Ka`ba and I would have lowered its gate to the level of the ground.
حضرت عائشہ ؓ ہی سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے فرمایا: میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے حطیم کے متعلق دریافت کیا کہ وہ بھی بیت اللہ کا حصہ ہے؟آپ نےفرمایا: ’’ہاں۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا: پھر ان لوگوں نے اسے بیت اللہ میں داخل کیوں نہ کیا؟آپ نےفرمایا: ’’تیری قوم کے پاس مال کم تھا (اس سے تعمیر کے اخراجات پورے نہیں ہوسکتے تھے)۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا: دروازہ اتنا اونچا کیوں رکھا ہے؟آپ نے فرمایا: ’’یہ کام تیری قوم نے اس لیے کیا تاکہ جسے چاہیں کعبہ میں داخل ہونے دیں اور جسے چاہیں روک دیں۔ اگر تیری قوم کازمانہ جاہلیت کے قریب نہ ہوتا اور ان کے دلوں پر ناگواری کے اثرات کا مجھے اندیشہ نہ ہوتا تو میں حطیم کو کعبہ میں شامل کردیتا اور اس کا دروازہ بھی زمین سے متصل بنادیتا۔‘‘
Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Anha) hi se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Main ne Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se Hateem ke mutalliq daryaft kiya ke wo bhi Baitullah ka hissa hai? Aap ne farmaya: ''Haan.'' Main ne arz kiya: Phir in logon ne ise Baitullah mein dakhil kyun na kiya? Aap ne farmaya: ''Teri qaum ke pas maal kam tha (is se tameer ke ikhrajat poore nahi ho sakte thay).'' Main ne arz kiya: Darwaza itna ooncha kyun rakha hai? Aap ne farmaya: ''Yeh kaam teri qaum ne is liye kiya taake jise chahein Kaaba mein dakhil hone dein aur jise chahein rok dein. Agar teri qaum ka zamana jahiliyat ke qareeb na hota aur un ke dilon par nagawari ke asraat ka mujhe andesha na hota to main Hateem ko Kaaba mein shamil kar deta aur is ka darwaza bhi zameen se muttasil bana deta.'"
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجَدْرِ أَمِنَ الْبَيْتِ ؟ , هُوَ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قُلْتُ : فَمَا لَهُمْ لَمْ يُدْخِلُوهُ فِي الْبَيْتِ ؟ , قَالَ : إِنَّ قَوْمَكِ قَصَّرَتْ بِهِمُ النَّفَقَةُ ، قُلْتُ : فَمَا شَأْنُ بَابِهِ مُرْتَفِعًا ؟ , قَالَ : فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ قَوْمُكِ لِيُدْخِلُوا مَنْ شَاءُوا وَيَمْنَعُوا مَنْ شَاءُوا ، وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثٌ عَهْدُهُمْ بِالْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَخَافُ أَنْ تُنْكِرَ قُلُوبُهُمْ أَنْ أُدْخِلَ الْجَدْرَ فِي الْبَيْتِ ، وَأَنْ أُلْصِقَ بَابَهُ بِالْأَرْضِ .
