Sahih al-Bukhari 1904
Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘Allah said, ‘all the deeds of Adam's (عليه السالم) sons (people) are for them, except fasting which is for Me, and I will give the reward for it.' Fasting is a shield or protection from the fire and from committing sins. If one of you is fasting, he should avoid sexual relation with his wife and quarreling, and if somebody should fight or quarrel with him, he should say, 'I am fasting.' By Him in Whose Hands my soul is the unpleasant smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. There are two pleasures for the fasting person, one at the time of breaking his fast, and the other at the time when he will meet his Lord; then he will be pleased because of his fasting.’
حضرت ابوہریرۃ ؓ سے روایت ہے انھوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’اللہ تعالیٰ کا ارشادگرامی ہے: ابن آدم کے تمام اعمال اس کے لیے ہیں مگر روزہ، وہ خاص میرے لیے ہے اور میں خود ہی اس کابدلہ دوں گا۔ روزہ ایک ڈھال ہے۔ جب تم میں سے کسی کا روزے کا دن ہوتو وہ بری باتیں اور شوروغوغا نہ کرے۔ اگر اسے کوئی گالی دے یا اس سے جھگڑا کرے تو وہ اسے یہ کہہ دے کہ میں روزے سے ہوں۔ اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے!روزہ دار کے منہ کی بو اللہ کے ہاں کستوری کی خوشبو سے زیادہ بہتر ہے۔ روزہ دار کے لیے دو مسرتیں ہیں جن سے وہ خوش ہوتا ہے ایک تو روزہ کھولنے کے وقت خوش ہوتا ہے، دوسرے جب وہ اپنے مالک سے ملے گا تو روزے کا ثواب دیکھ کر خوش ہوگا۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Allah Ta'ala ka irshad-e-girami hai: Ibn-e-Adam ke tamam aamaal is ke liye hain magar roza, wo khaas mere liye hai aur main khud hi is ka badla doon ga. Roza ek dhaal hai. Jab tum mein se kisi ka rozay ka din ho to wo buri batein aur shoro-ghogha na kare. Agar ise koi gaali de ya is se jhagra kare to wo ise ye keh de ke main rozay se hoon. Is zaat ki qasam jis ke hath mein meri jaan hai! Rozay-dar ke munh ki boo Allah ke haan kastoori ki khushbu se zyada behtar hai. Rozay-dar ke liye do musarratein hain jin se wo khush hota hai ek to roza kholne ke waqt khush hota hai, dusre jab wo apne malik se mile ga to rozay ka sawab dekh kar khush ho ga."
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الزَّيَّاتِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : قَالَ اللَّهُ : كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ ، إِلَّا الصِّيَامَ فَإِنَّهُ لِي ، وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ ، وَالصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ ، وَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَصْخَبْ ، فَإِنْ سَابَّهُ أَحَدٌ أَوْ قَاتَلَهُ ، فَلْيَقُلْ : إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ ، لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ ، لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ يَفْرَحُهُمَا : إِذَا أَفْطَرَ فَرِحَ ، وَإِذَا لَقِيَ رَبَّهُ فَرِحَ بِصَوْمِهِ .
