Sahih al-Bukhari 1965
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle forbade Al-Wisal in fasting. So, one of the Muslims said to him, But you practice Al- Wisal. O Allah's Apostle! The Prophet replied, Who amongst you is similar to me? I am given food and drink during my sleep by my Lord. So, when the people refused to stop Al-Wisal (fasting continuously), the Prophet fasted day and night continuously along with them for a day and then another day and then they saw the crescent moon (of the month of Shawwal). The Prophet said to them (angrily), If It (the crescent) had not appeared, I would have made you fast for a longer period. That was as a punishment for them when they refused to stop (practicing Al-Wisal).
حضرت ابوہریرۃ ؓ سے روایت ہے انھوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے روزوں میں وصال کرنے سے منع فرمایا تو مسلمانوں میں سے کسی شخص نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول ﷺ ! آپ تو وصال کرتے ہیں؟آپ نے فرمایا: ’’تم میں سے کون شخص میری طرح ہے! میں رات کو سوتا ہوں تو میرا اللہ مجھے کھلاپلادیتا ہے۔‘‘ لیکن جب وہ لوگ وصال سے باز نہ آئے تو آپ نے ان کے ہمراہ ایک دن کچھ نہ کھایا، دوسرے دن بھی کچھ نہ کھایا، پھر عید کاچاند طلوع ہوگیا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ’’اگر چاند ظاہر نہ ہوتا تو میں تم سے اور زیادہ وصال کے روزے رکھواتا۔‘‘ گویا آپ نے انھیں سزادینے کے لیے فرمایا جب وہ وصال کے روزوں سے باز نہ آئے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne rozon mein wisal karne se mana farmaya to Musalamano mein se kisi shakhs ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Aap to wisal karte hain? Aap ne farmaya: "Tum mein se kaun shakhs meri tarah hai! Main raat ko sota hoon to mera Allah mujhe khila pila deta hai." Lekin jab wo log wisal se baaz na aaye to aap ne in ke humrah ek din kuch na khaya, dusre din bhi kuch na khaya, phir Eid ka chaand tuloo ho gaya. Aap ne farmaya: "Agar chaand zahir na hota to main tum se aur zyada wisal ke roze rakhwata." Goya aap ne inhein saza dene ke liye farmaya jab wo wisal ke rozon se baaz na aaye.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْوِصَالِ فِي الصَّوْمِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ : إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : وَأَيُّكُمْ مِثْلِي ، إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِ ، فَلَمَّا أَبَوْا أَنْ يَنْتَهُوا عَنِ الْوِصَالِ ، وَاصَلَ بِهِمْ يَوْمًا ، ثُمَّ يَوْمًا ، ثُمَّ رَأَوْا الْهِلَالَ ، فَقَالَ : لَوْ تَأَخَّرَ لَزِدْتُكُمْ ، كَالتَّنْكِيلِ لَهُمْ حِينَ أَبَوْا أَنْ يَنْتَهُوا .
