Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet forbade Muzabana; and Muzabana is the selling of fresh fruit (without measuring it) for something by measure on the basis that if that thing turns to be more than the fruit, the increase would be for the seller of the fruit, and if it turns to be less, that would be of his lot.

حضرت ابن عمر  ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے مزابنہ سے منع فرمایا۔ اور مزابنہ یہ ہے کہ(تازہ ) پھل (خشک پھل کے عوض) اس طرح ناپ کر فروخت کرے کہ اگر زیادہ ہوا تو میرا اور اگر کم ہوا تو میں خود اس کاذمہ دار ہوں۔

Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne muzabanah se mana farmaya. Aur muzabanah ye hai ke (taza) phal (khushk phal ke iwaz) is tarah naap kar farokht kare ke agar zyada hua to mera aur agar kam hua to mein khud is ka zimma-dar hoon.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُزَابَنَةِ ، قَالَ : وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ أَنْ يَبِيعَ الثَّمَرَ بِكَيْلٍ إِنْ زَادَ فَلِي وَإِنْ نَقَصَ فَعَلَيَّ .
