Sahih al-Bukhari 3468
Humaid bin Abdur Rahman narrated that he heard Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) (talking) on the pulpit in the year when he performed the Hajj. He took a tuft of hair that was in the hand of an orderly and said, ‘O people of Madina, where are your learned men? I heard the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) forbidding such a thing as this (false hair) and he used to say, 'the Israelis were destroyed when their ladies practiced this habit (of using false hair to lengthen their locks).
حضرت حمید بن عبد الرحمٰن سے روایت ہے کہ جس سال امیر معاویہ ؓحج پر تشریف لے گئے تو انھوں نے منبر پر ان کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا جبکہ انھوں نے مصنوعی بالوں کا گچھا لیا۔ جو ان کے چوکیدار کے ہاتھ میں تھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اے اہل مدینہ! تمھارےعلماء کہاں ہیں؟ میں نےنبی ﷺ کو اس سے منع کرتے ہوئے سنا ہے۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’بنی اسرائیل کی عورتوں نے جب اس طرح اپنے بال سنوارنے شروع کر دیے تو وہ ہلاک ہو گئے۔‘‘
Hazrat Humaid bin Abdur Rahman se riwayat hai ke jis saal Ameer Muawiya (Radi Allahu Anhu) Hajj par tashreef le gaye to unhon ne minbar par in ko ye farmate hue suna jabke unhon ne masnooi baalon ka gucha liya jo un ke chokidar ke haath mein tha. Aap ne farmaya: Aye Ahl-e-Madinah! Tumhare ulema kahan hain? Mein ne Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ko is se mana karte hue suna hai. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Bani Israel ki auraton ne jab is tarah apne baal sanwarne shuru kar diye to wo halak ho gaye."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَامَ حَجَّ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَتَنَاوَلَ قُصَّةً مِنْ شَعَرٍ وَكَانَتْ فِي يَدَيْ حَرَسِيٍّ ، فَقَالَ : يَا أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَيْنَ عُلَمَاؤُكُمْ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْ مِثْلِ هَذِهِ ، وَيَقُولُ : إِنَّمَا هَلَكَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ حِينَ اتَّخَذَهَا نِسَاؤُهُمْ .
