Chapter: The Statement of Allah Ta'ala: "O mankind! We have created you from a male and female."
١
بَابُ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ}
Sahih al-Bukhari 3496
People are of different natures: The best amongst them in the pre-lslamic period are the best in Islam provided they comprehend the religious knowledge. You will find that the best amongst the people in this respect (i.e. of ruling) is he who hates it (i.e. the idea of ruling) most, till he is given the pledge of allegiance.
(نیز آپ نے فرمایا:) ’’انسان کی مثال کان کی طرح ہے۔ جولوگ دور جاہلیت میں بہتر تھے وہ زمانہ اسلام میں بھی قابل تعریف ہیں بشرط یہ کہ انھوں نے دینی معاملات میں سمجھ بوجھ حاصل کی ہو۔ تم دیکھو کہ حکومت اور سرداری کے لائق وہی ہوں گے جو شان امارت کو سخت ناپسند کرنے والے ہوں گے یہاں تک کہ ان پر اس کا بوجھ آپڑے۔‘‘
(Neez Aap ne farmaya:) "Insan ki misal kaan ki tarah hai. Jo log dour-e-jahiliyat mein behtar the wo zamana-e-Islam mein bhi qabil-e-tareef hain bashart ye ke unhon ne deeni maamlaat mein samajh-boojh hasil ki ho. Tum dekho ke hukoomat aur sardari ke layak wahi hon ge jo shan-e-imarati ko sakht na-pasand karne wale hon ge yahan tak ke un par is ka bojh aa pade."
وَالنَّاسُ مَعَادِنُ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِذَا فَقِهُوا تَجِدُونَ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ كَرَاهِيَةً لِهَذَا الشَّأْنِ حَتَّى يَقَعَ فِيهِ .
