Sahih al-Bukhari 3841
Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘the truest words said by a poet was the words of Labid.’ He said - ٌَّ َ بَاطِلأَالَ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ مَا خَالَ ّللا [Verily, everything except Allah is perishable] and Umaiya bin As-Salt was about to be a Muslim (but he did not embrace Islam).
حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’سب سے سچی بات جو کوئی شاعر کہہ سکتا تھا وہ لبید شاعر نے کہی: ’’آگاہ رہو! اللہ کے سوا ہر چیز کو زوال ہے۔‘‘ اور امیہ بن ابی صلت (شاعر) مسلمان ہونے کے قریب تھا۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Sab se sacchi baat jo koi sha'ir keh sakta tha woh Labeed sha'ir ne kahi: 'Aagah raho! Allah ke siwa har cheez ko zawal hai.' Aur Umayya bin Abi Salt (sha'ir) Musalman hone ke qareeb tha.' '
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَصْدَقُ كَلِمَةٍ قَالَهَا الشَّاعِرُ : كَلِمَةُ لَبِيدٍ أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللَّهَ بَاطِلٌ وَكَادَ أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ أَنْ يُسْلِمَ .
