Chapter: The sickness of the Prophet (saws) and his death
٨٣
بَابُ مَرَضِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَوَفَاتِهِ
Sahih al-Bukhari 4444
`Aisha and `Abdullah bin `Abbas said, When Allah's Apostle became ill seriously, he started covering his face with his woolen sheet, and when he felt short of breath, he removed it from his face and said, 'That is so! Allah's curse be on the Jews and the Christians, as they took the graves of their prophets as (places of worship),' intending to warn (the Muslims) of what they had done.
حضرت عائشہ اور حضرت ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: جب رسول اللہ ﷺ بیمار ہوئے تو آپ اپنے چہرے پر چادر ڈالتے تھے۔ پھر جب سانس گھٹنے لگتا تو اسے چہرے سے ہٹا دیتے۔ پھر اسی حالت میں آپ نے فرمایا: ’’اللہ تعالٰی یہودونصارٰی پر لعنت فرمائے، انہوں نے اپنے انبیاء کی قبروں کو سجدہ گاہ بنا لیا۔‘‘ آپ اپنی امت کو اس (فعل) سے ڈراتے تھے جو یہود و نصارٰی نے کیا تھا۔
Hazrat Aisha aur Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhum) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Jab Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) bimar hue to Aap apne chehre par chadar dalte the. Phir jab saans ghutne lagta to ise chehre se hata dete. Phir isi halat mein Aap ne farmaya: ''Allah Ta'ala Yahud o Nasara par la'nat farmaye, unhon ne apne ambiya ki qabron ko sajda-gah bana liya.'' Aap apni ummat ko is (fail) se darate the jo Yahud o Nasara ne kiya tha.
وأَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ، وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ ، قَالَا : لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ ، فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ يَقُولُ : لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ يُحَذِّرُ مَا صَنَعُوا .
