"Verily, those who purchase a small gain at the cost of Allah's Covenant and their oaths, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter (Paradise)... (till) ... and they shall have a painful torment." (V.3 -77)

باب {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلاً أُولَئِكَ لاَ خَلاَقَ لَهُمْ} لاَ خَيْرَ

Sahih al-Bukhari 4552
Narrated Ibn Abu Mulaika: Two women were stitching shoes in a house or a room. Then one of them came out with an awl driven into her hand, and she sued the other for it. The case was brought before Ibn `Abbas, Ibn `Abbas said, Allah's Messenger said, 'If people were to be given what they claim (without proving their claim) the life and property of the nation would be lost.' Will you remind her (i.e. the defendant), of Allah and recite before her:-- Verily! Those who purchase a small gain at the cost of Allah's Covenant and their oaths... (3.77) So they reminded her and she confessed. Ibn `Abbas then said, The Prophet said, 'The oath is to be taken by the defendant (in the absence of any proof against him).
حضرت ابن ابی ملیکہ سے روایت ہے کہ دو عورتیں کسی گھر یا حجرے میں موزے سیا کرتی تھیں۔ ان میں سے ایک عورت باہر نکلی تو اس کے ہاتھ میں موزے سینے والا سوآ چبھا ہوا تھا۔ اس نے دوسری عورت پر الزام لگایا۔ مقدمہ حضرت ابن عباس ؓ کے ہاں پیش ہوا تو آپ نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کا ارشاد گرامی ہے: ’’اگر صرف دعویٰ کی بنیاد پر لوگوں کے مطالبات تسلیم کیے جانے لگیں تو بہت لوگوں کا خون اور مال برباد ہو جائے۔‘‘ اس عورت کو اللہ کی یاد دلاؤ اور اس کے سامنے یہ آیت پڑھو: ﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّـهِ ۔۔۔﴾ چنانچہ لوگوں نے اسے وعظ و نصیحت کی تو اس نے (اپنے جرم کا) اعتراف کر لیا۔ حضرت ابن عباس ؓ نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ کا ارشاد گرامی ہے: ’’قسم مدعا علیہ پر ہوتی ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Ibn Abi Mulaika se riwayat hai ke do auratein kisi ghar ya hujre mein mauze siya karti thiein. In mein se ek aurat bahar nikli to us ke hath mein mauze seene wala sua chubha hua tha. Us ne dusri aurat par ilzam lagaya. Muqaddama Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) ke haan pesh hua to aap ne kaha ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka irshad-e-girami hai: ''Agar sirf daaway ki bunyad par logon ke mutalbat tasleem kiye jaane lagein to bahut logon ka khoon aur maal barbad ho jaye.'' Is aurat ko Allah ki yaad dilao aur us ke samne yeh ayat parho: {Innallazina yashtaruna bi'ahdillahi...} chunanche logon ne ise wa'az o nasihat ki to us ne (apne jurm ka) iteraf kar liya. Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka irshad-e-girami hai: ''Qasam mudda-alaih par hoti hai.''"
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ نَصْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ : أَنَّ امْرَأَتَيْنِ كَانَتَا تَخْرِزَانِ فِي بَيْتٍ أَوْ فِي الْحُجْرَةِ ، فَخَرَجَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا وَقَدْ أُنْفِذَ بِإِشْفَى فِي كَفِّهَا فَادَّعَتْ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى ، فَرُفِعَ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَوْ يُعْطَى النَّاسُ بِدَعْوَاهُمْ ، لذَهَبَ دِمَاءُ قَوْمٍ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ ذَكِّرُوهَا بِاللَّهِ ، وَاقْرَءُوا عَلَيْهَا إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ سورة آل عمران آية 77فَذَكَّرُوهَا فَاعْتَرَفَتْ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : الْيَمِينُ عَلَى الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ .
