Sahih al-Bukhari 4561
Narrated Al-Bara bin Azib: The Prophet appointed `Abdullah bin Jubair as the commander of the infantry during the battle of Uhud. They returned defeated, and that is what is meant by:-- And the Apostle was calling them back in the rear. None remained with the Prophet then, but twelve men.
حضرت براء بن عازب ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ نے غزوہ اُحد میں حضرت عبداللہ بن جبیر ؓ کو (تیر اندازوں کے) پیدل دستے پر امیر مقرر فرمایا۔ اس دن بہت سے مسلمان شکست خوردہ ہو کر بھاگ کھڑے ہوئے۔ یہ آیت کریمہ اسی کے متعلق نازل ہوئی: جبکہ رسول تمہیں تمہارے پیچھے سے بلا رہا تھا ۔۔ اس وقت نبی ﷺ کے ہمراہ صرف بارہ صحابہ کرام ؓ باقی رہ گئے تھے۔
Hazrat Bara bin Azib (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Ghazwa-e-Uhud mein Hazrat Abdullah bin Jubair (Radi Allahu Anhu) ko (teer-andazon ke) paidal daste par ameer muqarrar farmaya. Is din bahut se Musalman shikast-khurda ho kar bhag khare hue. Yeh ayat-e-karima usi ke mutaliq nazil hui: jabke Rasul tumhein tumhare peeche se bula raha tha.. Is waqt Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke humrah sirf barah sahabah karam (Radi Allahu Anhum) baqi reh gaye the.
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : جَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الرَّجَّالَةِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، وَأَقْبَلُوا مُنْهَزِمِينَ ، فَذَاكَ إِذْ يَدْعُوهُمُ الرَّسُولُ فِي أُخْرَاهُمْ ، وَلَمْ يَبْقَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَيْرُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ رَجُلًا .
