باب {لاَ يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ}

Sahih al-Bukhari 4594
Narrated Al-Bara: When the Verse:-- Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), (4.95) was revealed, the Prophet said, Call so-and-so. That person came to him with an ink-pot and a wooden board or a shoulder scapula bone. The Prophet said (to him), Write: 'Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and those who strive and fight in the Cause of Allah. Ibn Um Maktum who was sitting behind the Prophet then said, O Allah's Messenger ! I am a blind man. So there was revealed in the place of that Verse, the Verse:-- Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home) except those who are disabled (by injury, or are blind or lame etc.) and those who strive and fight in the Cause of Allah. (4.95)
حضرت براء بن عازب ؓ ہی سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: جب یہ آیت نازل ہوئی: ﴿لَّا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾ تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’فلاں کاتب کو بلاؤ۔‘‘ چنانچہ وہ اپنے ساتھ دوات اور تختی یا شانے کی ہڈی لے کر حاضر ہوئے۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: لکھو ﴿لَّا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ﴾ اس وقت نبی ﷺ کے پیچھے حضرت ابن ام مکتوم ؓ تھے۔ انہوں نے عرض کی: اللہ کے رسول! میں تو نابینا ہوں، چنانچہ وہیں بیٹھے بیٹھے یہ آیت نازل ہوئی: ﴿لَّا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ﴾
Hazrat Bara bin Azib (Radi Allahu Anhu) hi se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Jab yeh ayat nazil hui: {La yastawil qa'iduna minal mominina} to Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ''Falan katib ko bulao.'' Chunanche woh apne sath dawat aur takhti ya shane ki haddi le kar hazir hue. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: likho {La yastawil qa'iduna minal mominina wal mujahiduna fi sabilillahi}. Is waqt Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke peeche Hazrat Ibn Umm-e-Maktum (Radi Allahu Anhu) the. Unhon ne arz ki: Allah ke Rasul! main to nabina hoon, chunanche wahien baithe baithe yeh ayat nazil hui: {La yastawil qa'iduna minal mominina ghairu ulil-darari wal mujahiduna fi sabilillahi}."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سورة النساء آية 95 ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ادْعُوا فُلَانًا ، فَجَاءَهُ وَمَعَهُ الدَّوَاةُ وَاللَّوْحُ أَوِ الْكَتِفُ ، فَقَالَ : اكْتُبْ لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سورة النساء آية 95 وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ سورة النساء آية 95 ، وَخَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَنَا ضَرِيرٌ ، فَنَزَلَتْ مَكَانَهَا لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ سورة النساء آية 95 .
