باب قَوْلِهِ {وَآخَرُونَ اعْتَرَفُوا بِذُنُوبِهِمْ خَلَطُوا عَمَلاً صَالِحًا وَآخَرَ سَيِّئًا عَسَى اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ}

Sahih al-Bukhari 4674
Samura bin Jundab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘tonight two (visitors) came to me (in my dream) and took me to a town built with gold bricks and silver bricks. There we met men who, half of their bodies, look like the most handsome human beings you have ever seen, and the other half, the ugliest human beings you have ever seen. Those two visitors said to those men, 'go and dip yourselves in that river. So, they dipped themselves therein and then came to us, their ugliness having disappeared, and they were in the most handsome shape. The visitors said, 'the first is the Garden of Eden and that is your dwelling place.' Then they added, 'As for those people who were half ugly and half handsome, they were those who mixed good deeds and bad deeds, but Allah forgave them.’
حضرت سمرہ بن جندب ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ہم سے فرمایا: ’’آج رات میرے پاس دو آنے والے آئے اور مجھے اٹھا کر ایک ایسے شہر کی طرف لے گئے جو سونے اور چاندی کی اینٹوں سے بنایا گیا تھا۔ وہاں ہمیں ایسے لوگ ملے جن کا آدھا بدن انتہائی خوبصورت کہ تو نے ایسا حسن کبھی نہ دیکھا ہو گا اور آدھا بدن نہایت بدصورت جو تو نے کبھی نہ دیکھا ہو گا۔ ان دونوں نے ان سے کہا: جاؤ اور اس نہر میں غوطہ لگاؤ۔ وہ نہر میں گھس گئے۔ پھر جب وہ ہمارے پاس آئے تو ان کی بدصورتی جاتی رہی اور وہ انتہائی خوبصورت ہو گئے۔ پھر ان دونوں نے مجھ سے کہا: یہ "جنت عدن" ہے اور آپ کا مکان یہیں ہے اور جن لوگوں کو ابھی آپ نے دیکھا تھا کہ ان کا آدھا جسم انتہائی خوبصورت تھا اور آدھا نہایت بدصورت تو یہ وہ لوگ تھے جنہوں نے اچھے برے ملے جلے عمل کیے تھے۔ اللہ تعالٰی نے ان سے درگزر فرمایا اور انہیں معاف کر دیا۔‘‘
Hazrat Samura bin Jundub (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne hum se farmaya: ''Aaj raat mere paas do aane wale aaye aur mujhe utha kar ek aise shehar ki taraf le gaye jo sone aur chandi ki eintton se banaya gaya tha. Wahan humein aise log mile jin ka aadha badan intihaayi khoobsurat ke tu ne aisa husn kabhi na dekha ho ga aur aadha badan nihayat bad-soorat jo tu ne kabhi na dekha ho ga. In dono ne in se kaha: Jao aur is nahr mein ghota lagao. Woh nahr mein ghus gaye. Phir jab woh hamare paas aaye to in ki bad-soorti jati rahi aur woh intihaayi khoobsurat ho gaye. Phir in dono ne mujh se kaha: Yeh \"Jannat-e-Adan\" hai aur aap ka makan yahin hai aur jin logon ko abhi aap ne dekha tha ke in ka aadha jism intihaayi khoobsurat tha aur aadha nihayat bad-soorat to yeh woh log thay unhon ne ache bure mile jule amal kiye thay. Allah Tala ne un se dorguzar farmaya aur unhein maaf kar diya.''
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ هُوَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَجَاءٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَمُرَةُ بْنُ جُنْدَبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَنَا : أَتَانِي اللَّيْلَةَ آتِيَانِ ، فَابْتَعَثَانِي ، فَانْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى مَدِينَةٍ مَبْنِيَّةٍ بِلَبِنِ ذَهَبٍ ، وَلَبِنِ فِضَّةٍ ، فَتَلَقَّانَا رِجَالٌ شَطْرٌ مِنْ خَلْقِهِمْ كَأَحْسَنِ مَا أَنْتَ رَاءٍ ، وَشَطْرٌ كَأَقْبَحِ مَا أَنْتَ رَاءٍ ، قَالَا لَهُمْ : اذْهَبُوا فَقَعُوا فِي ذَلِكَ النَّهْرِ ، فَوَقَعُوا فِيهِ ، ثُمَّ رَجَعُوا إِلَيْنَا ، قَدْ ذَهَبَ ذَلِكَ السُّوءُ عَنْهُمْ ، فَصَارُوا فِي أَحْسَنِ صُورَةٍ ، قَالَا لِي : هَذِهِ جَنَّةُ عَدْنٍ وَهَذَاكَ مَنْزِلُكَ ، قَالَا : أَمَّا الْقَوْمُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا شَطْرٌ مِنْهُمْ حَسَنٌ ، وَشَطْرٌ مِنْهُمْ قَبِيحٌ ، فَإِنَّهُمْ خَلَطُوا عَمَلًا صَالِحًا ، وَآخَرَ سَيِّئًا ، تَجَاوَزَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ .
